This works!
The box said give it a week or two. Within 45 minutes it was working. I had my very wired stressed out little kitty cat back to her happy little self. And I figured out that it stops working after about 30 days because her symptoms came back. This is an affordable way to help her feel better It's very easy to get it on and they're quite sturdy. The way they've done the collar it would fit a cat of any size. We have another cat who insisted on chewing holes in it.

Should have tried this first
I tried this as a last resort vs actual anti anxiety meds. I do not like the idea of collars on cats. But it worked almost instantly. I’m somewhat still in disbelief. It’s only been day 4. But I feel like I have no choice but to credit this collar for calming my kitty. He wears it without fuss. He’s more affectionate. Less anxious. Has his the box on every pee thus far. Has even cozied up to the contractor we had in our home. I don’t love the clasp but ironically I don’t really even need to clip in place as it stays on with it barely attached. So I am more confident he won’t hang himself. In 4 days, it only came off once. It’s non intrusive to him. It doesn’t “feel” like anything. Like it’s not sticky or powdery. It’s just rubbery. I literally had tried hard treats, tube treats, plug ins, massage, different food, different cat litter, added cat boxes, relocated cat boxes. It’s been a year of attempts. And in less than a week, on a product I never thought I’d use, I found my answer. I feel like a paid spokesperson but for the love, I wish I’d tried this first. I could tell as soon as I put it on him it was going to work. But I waited as long as I could to share this victory. 4 days. Believe me, if it doesn’t work at day 10, I’ll be back to let y’all know. If you dread a collar, like I did, for real, what do you have to lose if nothing else works. I’ll explain the photos. I had no pix of him in the collar. I went outside, saw him sleeping. He woke up when he heard the door close. So I grabbed a couple shots. He popped his head up. Big yawn. And laid back down. For reference. I’m in Florida. He can go in/out but only out in my screened in lanai/pool deck. It’s the true outdoor cats that come to the screened area that gets him worked up. He longs to go truly outside. I know this is a book but it saved my sanity. And his.

Appears to take the edge off of skittish cat for 9-10 days max
I'm beginning to wonder if there is an expiration date for these collars that I am missing (or maybe prolonged heat in a stored warehouse reduces effectiveness) because the efficacy of this collar did not last anywhere near a month for my cat. I remember reading another reviewer mentioning 2 weeks, but I observed 9-10 days only. I made sure to have the collar inside her usual collar so that is was closer to her skin as instructed. I received the product on 7/19 and by 7/27 noticed my cat being alarmed once again by random little noises in the house, so put on a new collar on 7/28, which immediately and noticeably caused her to ignore sounds from the kitchen, etc. and return to a more normal, calm (not drowsy) state of behavior. So, what I love about this collar is that it DID take the edge off for my cat who has become much more aware and alarmed by common household noise. She has been recently diagnosed with FLUTD/ FIC, which is why I'm seeking a long term solution to help lower her stress. What I noticed that it did NOT do is last for more than 9-10 days, and also it did NOT help my cat during a thunderstorm. She quickly ran crying back to her spot in the corner of my closet. I have tried giving her the Pet Honesty calm treat, and yes just one treat pellet helps noticeably. I was hoping to use the collar as a replacement for the treats because you have to stay on top of anticipated noise and give the treat ahead of time. I did try the Bach's Rescue Remedy, I had purchased as another possibility. When I first noticed that the collar wasn't going to cut it during a thunderstorm, I rubbed 1-2 drops inside her ear flap making sure the liquid did not run down into her inner ear. That worked for the duration of the storm and quickly. Whew! I don't know how well the collar might work for a vet visit. It might do fine for the car ride there, but once arriving to the vet that has barking dogs, since it didn't work for the thunder, I don't have a lot of hope that it will be enough for that situation. So, I like this collar for daily help especially for a cat diagnosed with a stressed induced urinary health issue (FIC). I just wish it lasted for the full month because I'm not sure the price is as great as it first appears when you have to switch out a new collar every 9-10 days. I might try buying this in a local pet store to see if I get better results, going back to the expiration/storage issue being sent from a warehouse that I mentioned earlier.

Good product, but Short lived.
These collars work well. Calmed my cat within hours. However I’m only giving it 4 stars because they don’t last 1 month as advertised. We only got 2 weeks use out of it before the scent/calming effect was gone. She became skittish and a scaredy cat again after 2 weeks.

Hair Loss
I got these on November 1st. Today is November 19th. I ordered this product and was grateful that it would arrive the next day (my cats kept having fits where they would run around and fight w each other and I didn’t want it to escalate to the point where one of them would get hurt). I put these collars on them and for almost two weeks I thought it was working well on my Siamese, but she managed to get it off once (not long after initially putting it on) and then she got it off a second time probably after about two weeks. At that point it was mangled from her chewing on it and she’s not really my problematic cat so I didn't put another one on her. My tortoiseshell hasn’t taken hers off once and has never seemed bothered by it. I guess I had seen my Siamese scratching at her neck but I just assumed she had to get used to it bc she’s never worn a collar. But tonight when I was petting her (they’re both pretty independent and mind their business so when I get the chance to pet them I do but it is not too often) and she turned her head in a way that I felt the bottom of the side of her neck where there is a laceration. Not only is there a laceration but the hair around her neck is completely gone in a way that it was obviously done by the collar because of the consistently slim width of the area of hair loss running all the way around her neck. This area was being covered up by her hair surrounding the area, so I have no idea how long she has been in this condition, if there was a rash initially that has healed, and the laceration seems to be relatively healed but I will still have to keep an eye on it for infection or even an abscess in the case that the laceration came from my other cat that the collar didn’t calm down or if she did it to herself trying to get it off. My tortoiseshell is still wearing the collar, still peeing outside of the litter box (she is fine medically, this has been going on for months), and now I’m going to have to check her neck for hair loss whenever she calms down. I feel awful for putting this product on my cats. I would have never thought that a product for calming by pheromones would be harmful, but I sure wish I had read the reviews before making a fast decision on how to fix their behavior. This product will only make your life more difficult and will help with the deterioration of your animal human bond if it’s already straining due to behavioral issues.

Helping a nervous kitty
One of my kittens is nervous and skittish around us. We started using these collars and have noticed her being around more and interacting with the other cats. It took a month to even start seeing improvement but she appears more calm, especially after putting a new one on.

A miracle! But not quite break away.
So I have a very anxious little orange girl. She doesn’t have any behavioral problems luckily. She is just very skittish and nervous- especially around men. Seeing as I live with a man this was rather unfortunate. Every time my housemate would come home she would run to hide in my one drawer. It was so sad. She also would shy away from most stranger’s touch under most circumstances. I tried the diffusers but it didn’t seem to be making any difference. So I decided to try the calming collar. I wanted one that didn’t have any essential oils because I know those can be really bad for cats. And I didn’t want it to have any scent because if I can smell it it must smell so much stronger to a cat. So anyways. I got this. It’s a pretty unassuming white collar. It says it is ‘break away’ but I put it on a stuffed animal and gave it some good tugs and it didn’t unlatch. So I did what another reviewer did on a different collar and zip tied the collar onto an actual break away collar. It really works wonders. She seems so much calmer and more at ease. She didn’t run and hide when my housemate came home, and she is accepting pets from people other than just me now. I hadn’t realized how anxious she had gotten until I added this collar. And it doesn’t sedate her, she’s still full of energy and spunk, but she’s so much less skittish, and I’m so happy. It’s only been a couple days, but I’m very pleased with how well it’s been working for her.

Lost within 24 hours!
I normally use another brand of calming collars that are purple from a company that starts with "S", I thought I would try these because you get 4 collars vs 3 of other brand and these had good reviews. I put one on each of two neutered males I have that get aggressive with each other. Within 24 hours BOTH calming collars were lost. These have a design flaw, the little pegs that go in the holes to adjust size of collar and are supposed to hold collar on, don't stay in the holes. They pop out EASILY, and the cat can easily then slip it off their neck. I realize these are meant to be breakaway safety collars, but the design is bad. I use Suresto flea collars which are also breakaway and don't have an issue with them. I think these could be a great alternative to the more expensive purple collars if they would just change the design of them. I ended up putting the other two collars from the box on each cat and by putting a hole in collar was able to zip tie these on. It makes them not breakaway collars any longer, but they'll stay on and hopefully do what they're supposed to do...calm the cats! I contacted the company that makes the collar, they said they offer a satisifaction guarantee, but I either need to get a refund from Amazon or send receipt to company for reimbursement. We'll see if I actually get a refund, because I would need to send an empty box back to Amazon for refund, first two collars were lost and cannot be found anywhere and last two from box are now zip tied on cats! I doubt Amazon will refund for an empty box!

Finally a more content cat!
I bought these after moving my cat from the desert of California to England and suddenly having a dog as a roommate. My cat was having trouble adjusting and had begun scent marking. I bought these and have seen a world of difference! In only 2 weeks of wear he has stopped marking and is way more confident exploring the new house and walking into rooms even with the dog present. They are made to break easily so as to not choke cats but I haven't had any trouble with that. It may be that I have a less active cat (although young, he is more of a hunter/stalker than the run around/zoomies type) so it has not come off yet. It has come loose once or twice but not enough for it to slip over his head and get lost before I can readjust it.

Collar Works
My adult rescue sometimes go through terrible crying spells starting late in the evening and sometimes last all night. He is aggressive and bullies the smaller and younger cat until the younger cat cries in pain. Younger cat who is not a rescue became anxious throughout home except for a couple of safe spots whenever adult rescues goes into his negative cycles. Otherwise they play zoomies together and sleep together. Adult rescue is ok when my house has all of the Therapet diffusers plugged in. However when the weather warms up windows and doors need to be opened to allow cool air in, an alternative method to help cat was needed. The cat collar began to work the first day rescue cat wore it. No crying, less anxious, sleeping soundly, no more aggressive behaviours towards 2nd cat and alert in a positive curiosity towards the birds outside again. Rescue cat is calm yet remained to his schedule of cuddling and hanging out in his favourite cat bed. Rescue cat is a good cat until the negative spells come around. 2nd cat is no longer anxiously looking for the unexpected attacks anymore, zooming around house with happiness by itself and playing with cat toys by itself. Second cat did not need a collar. Cats never had litter box issues and are joy to own.
