NIV Life Application Study Bible, Third Edition Kindle Edition

I have been studying the Bible with the MacArthur Study Bible which my Baptist pastor gifted me. I had never heard of the NIV Life Application Study Bible and when I was in the hospital last week it was the one the front desk had for its patients. It said that it was the most used study Bible in the world. I began to read it and I came across this passage and commentary. John 15:16 ~ "You did not chose me, but I chose you..." Jesus made the first choice - to love and to die for us, to invite us to live with him forever. We make the next choice - to accept or reject his offer. Without his choice, we would have no choice to make. I thought, "Wow! That was deep" and I immediately went to Amazon and ordered it. Now I have two Bibles to study from. Can't hurt. God bless.

FIRST REVIEW:Soooo. I’m listening to the Megathemes” in the book of Judges and I’m realizing it’s not showing all the themes. It’s not complete. My kindle is reading the complete themes but the text is not showing. This sounds like a glitch. I go to Exodus and neither the Blueprint nor the Megathemes are showing. I’m going to reach out to the publisher and follow up.SECOND REVIEW: March 15, 2020. I’m so happy to write this update. THE KINDLE VERSION IS COMPLETE. If you cannot see the complete MEGATHEMES , adjust the font in your Kindle. For instance, it is only on the smallest setting on my Kindle that I can view the entire MEGATHEMES in Genesis. But it’s all there. Also in you Kindle set your margins to WIDE. This did the trick for me. Smaller font and wider margins.

This is the 2nd Life Application 3rd addition Bible I have purchased and returned. Both for poor quality. The first was from Zonderman so I thought I would try one from Tyndale, hoping their production process incorporated better quality systems and controls. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed once again. The cover is beautiful and soft. Albeit a bit thin and flimsy. The cover was separating away from the binding along ¾’s length of the binding seam. I am astounded at the very poor quality of these bibles, especially given the cost of them. The first bible I received had serious defects in the pages and index tabs. The first time around I thought ok, I know that sometimes systems/processes are not 100% reliable so I would give it another try. But now after two bibles exhibiting poor quality, it has destroyed my confidence that even if I received a copy without these defects at the start, I have no faith that they would hold up over time. I will not attempt another Life Application 3rd addition bible. It can not be just coincidence that both copies I have received are defective. The overall feel of these two bibles were that the materials are extremely subpar when compared to other bibles I have purchased in the recent past. They “feel” very cheap. I cannot recommend the Life Application Bible 3rd addition. Stay away from them if you are looking for a bible that will last any length of time.

Thank you God for opening my eyes and ears to understand your word. After going through the bible cover to cover (mainly audio), I purchased this study bible to go deeper in my understanding of God's word. I am so amazed with the notes and references in this book. It's like having a personal biblical scholar by my side answering all my questions in a way for a layman like myself to understand. This book has helped me to better understand God and have a deeper relationship with Him.

Really enjoying this Bible. Study notes and life applications are very good. I'm enjoying the 365 day reading plan. The Kindle version is so nice to be able to pop back and forth with charts, chronology and summary of "key players" at beginning of each chapter. One of the most comprehensive Bibles out there!

I purchased this for my daughter. I have had this Bible for a few years (since college) and really love it. The footnotes and extra descriptions are really helpful in understanding the passages. Highly recommended!

I have the leather bound physical bible of this type, I wanted an electronic one to match. I learned how to transverse the hyperlinks and use the controls, after that it is FANTASTIC. Please take the time to learn the controls of this electronic version, you will love it also.
