why does it leak after a few months? this is my 4th tank. is it something i am doing ?

When you are cleaning the water chamber, try using water that isn't so hot. I've had other dishwasher safe water chambers that started leaking after I hand cleaned them with water that was very warm to touch. I accidentally left the water chamber with very warm water running on it for a couple of minutes, and the bottom of the chamber literally fell off. Rather than a poor design, or using poor components, I believe this is a fail-safe feature, so if the water in the chamber is somehow overheated, the water will drain out of the chamber, and there will be less chance of overheated moist air damaging your throat and lungs. Another possible cause could be build up of minerals, if your water is hard. ResMed's instructions say to use a solution of 10 parts water to 1 part vinegar to remove white deposits inside the tank.

I see this is called the standard tub, mine runs out of water in less than 8 hours. Is there a large tub?

From what I read, the 2 water tubs are the same size. The difference is that one is standard, the other says it’s dishwasher safe.
