With the proper tools, these really help in getting tires mounted without damaging rims. I thought they were a bit pricey, but they are very sturdy. Good product like everything else Motion Pros makes.

I bought these for a trip to Alaska on my BMW F800 GS. I’ve covered 2200 miles so far and experienced two flat tires already. These are great for saving your rims from scratches and work well. I could see having more than two being helpful but I’ve survived with just carrying two. One thing I would strongly consider is using a file or grinder to round off the ends on the part that hooks on the inside of the rim. The tips are like little daggers as you slide the rim protector along the rim. One caught the tube I was installing and I thought the resistance was just from the rim protector being pinched between the rim and the tire. I kept trying to slide it and ended up tearing a hole in the new tube. If the points weren’t so sharp the tube might not have gotten caught in the first place or been able to puncture the tube. So watch out for this issue which could add a patch job to your task list or stranded if you’re not carrying patches in addition to a spare tube. Ride on!

Great to keep you from scratching or damaging your rim when changing your tire. It doesn’t fit smaller rims like 10” scooter tires but for tires on bikes it works. Good value to help keep from damaging rims.

I've used these a couple times now and overall, i like them. If the wheels are pretty thick at the edge like my spoked tubeless wheels, theyll try to pop off and you'll need to be careful to hold them in place. Even so, they did a good job and i didn't damage anything. They worked great on my thinner dirtbike wheels. They're overpriced but do the job.

Excellent product. Works well in protecting your rim when changing tires

I bought these to replace a broken spoke on my 17" Supermoto wheelset. Even with ample soapy water, I was still able to damage these after their first use. My tire pry bars / spoons were able to bite through one. Upon further inspection, my rim had a few new nicks despite using these. For some reason I can't upload any photos with this review. The amount of effort it took to unmount my tire didn't take a whole lot of effort, so I don't know why these didn't work better. For sure, there would be a lot more damage if I hadn't used them.

This is an amazing tool for the Do-It-Yourself'ers. I can remember fighting to change tires on past motorcycles and risking damage to wheel. These are amazing! These protect the rim while you use tire tools to remove and install tires. ZERO damage... paid for themself on the first use!

Best I’ve used. Used off shore brands and they end up cracking scratching the wheels. Don’t waist your time with anything but MP

Great quality but they do not work with BMW R1250GSA wire wheels.
