Easy To Use
I found these very easy to use and effective for preventing my 1.5 year old from getting into cabinets. They slip on very easily. At times with the baby in one hand, I can usually undo the safety lock with the other hand. The baby is also fascinated by the lock and tries to break in but has yet to be successful. The one caveat is to make sure you don't put them on backwards. If you do put them on the wrong way, it's very difficult to take unlock.

Perfect!
I had previously purchased a popular brand of sliding cabinet locks. The sliding mechanism was quite thick, making it easy for a toddler to slip them right off. We didn't even have to slide then to remove them, they would just pop right of the knobs. Not the sure basics one! The sliding mechanism is thin enough that it fits underneath the mushroom portion of the cabinet knob, making it nice and snug. No more popping right off! They are a bit more difficult for an adult to remove (my husband hates them), but that is ok by me as they actually do their job!

Work good in limited circumstances
These work fine if you have double doors that open with knobs or handles that the hook on these fit through. I bought them to keep my grandchildren out of under-sink cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms. They are very secure. But while they keep the kids out, they are a pain if you have to take them off and put them back on frequently. And like I said, they only work with a certain cabinet door configuration. They are no good for single doors or drawers. The advantage to these for me is that I can only use them when the grandkids are visiting. I don't have to deal with them all the time. If I had kids here 24/7, I would prefer the hooks where you open the door or drawer slightly and depress the hook to open. That's what I had for years with my kids and they worked great. These work great. Just be aware of the drawbacks.

Exactly what I wanted - easy, and doesn't leave a scar on my cabinets!
Okay.... So it was time to start baby-proofing the house. I remember these locks from when I was a kid back in the 80's, but it seemed over the last 30 years things had changed and in particular, baby locks! Now it's magnetic, or you have to drill holes, or you have to use 3M tape to stick these ugly things on all your cabinets! I actually ordered several other kinds, looked at my kitchen and thought, what an eye sore! Finally I found these :) these are what I wanted! easy to use, easy to put on (fool proof), easy to take off, no holes required, no magnetic lock required, just simple, old fashioned cabinet locks! Sometimes they had it right in the olden days ;)

Holds securely, fussy to operate
For our purposes, the side by side locks from safety first worked much better for cabinetry. For frequently opened cabinets, this is hard to use. You need both hands to open, put at least one piece down and then put back the same way. I find I take them off if my husband puts them on again.Seems to hold securely though and the jaws are big for larger applications.

5 Star AMAZING!
I purchased two packs of these locks, and the quality is very good for what your paying. I have a 5 year old a 2 year old and a soon to be 2 month old. My 2 year old and 5 year old can not get into the cabinets anymore these locks are very difficult for young kids to unlock and as long as you're making sure that they aren't watching you to see how to unlock it and to learn what you're doing you won't have any problems keeping them out of your cabinets! The plastic is strong, you have to press the clasp until it comes off the teeth line to get it to open and move. Perfect quality for a great price!

I feel very safe that my dog can't open my cabinets!
I bought three. They go on very easily and after the first couple of times they come off easier also. I just had to get used to them. They're very convenient and there's absolutely no way my dog can figure out how to open them! He's pretty good at figuring things out, including opening crates! L O L

Locks Used Very Frequently Will Fail After Several Months, But These Are Still Fantastically Simple, Effective and Affordable.
These cabinet locks are a simple, affordable solution and have worked great keeping one-year-old twins out of the cabinets. We have been using these for five months now so I can properly review long-term performance. Most of our originals are still working great, but the locks that see the most use eventually fail at the critical, bendable part you squeeze to release the lock, due to repeated stress on the plastic. The quickest failure was after two months of use, with two others after five months. Still, these are fantastic; and months of piece of mind makes these a no-brainer, even if you need to replace a couple along the way. A solid four stars.
