Klutz Tiny Stitches Craft Kit

I saw this at a book fair, but it was way cheaper on Amazon, so I ordered it from here instead. I loved how colorful everything was, how many different tiny stitches patterns it provides for you, and how it teaches you how to embroider and cross stitch! I comes with starter materials, so I went out and bought extra fabric.I will say this is for somewhat experienced crafters, and it’s not the greatest for kids. I would say this is more for teenagers, because it can be hard, and tying the knots the way they show you isn’t exactly right and doesn’t quite work. Plus, you’ll need crafting space to work with and a place to store leftovers, plus VERY precise fingers and eyesight to get the thread through the needle. You’ll also want/need a thimble, which I had to buy separately. You WILL prick your finger sewing and embroidering, just so you know. The thimble I bought came with a sewing kit with many more materials I used, like more scratch-paper, scissors, needles, a pin cushion, etc. So I would recommend buying something like that in addition to this.Also, I wish this came with more than just three of the little brown pendants. They’re perfect for the tiny stitches, and I wish I had a dozen of them.The necklace chain that it come with is low quality, so you can’t really wear the pendants. You’d have to buy another chain.This kit is still a solid four stars in my opinion, for how fun and colorful the book was, despite all the things the kit lacked.

Even I learned from this lovely little book. Can't wait to teach my daughter how to embroider and sew. Comes with clear directions; great visual aids; wonderful activities and super materials come with the book.

I'm teaching my 7 year old son to stitch/embroider and I'm very impressed with the kit. There are many, many super cute designs to stitch in the book that are quick and easy....they include everything you need, including tracing paper, fabric, hoop, needles, etc. The book is high quality and very thorough, but a 7 year old will need your help deciphering the instructions. My only complaint is they only give you 3 little necklace hoops, and my son wants to do many designs. I've used the Klutz BFF Backpack Charms and he loved those too!

My daughter loves it! Great GREAT gift for a preteen . My daughter is 12 and she is at the age where she loves to craft. I bought this for her 12th birthday and she was delighted.

While cute, this was a little too complex for my 9 year old. We did not love having to cut out the patterns either. I would recommend for kids that already have some basic sewing knowledge.
