So although I find the content in the book helpful to learn Thai, I was misled to believe the cover of the book would be as advertised. Again, can't judge a book by it's cover, but I would have preferred the nice scenic cover as provided on Amazon.com. Says copyright year of 2017. Did I get an older version of book. Please take a look at the pics of the book I posted. Knocked off two stars for false cover advertisement. But content to learn is decent in some workbook format pages. Again, if the cover design does not matter to you, have no worries as I find the book ok otherwise on learning basic Thai words and phrases immediately. Would work better if there was an audio cd or website to pair with book to get right pronunciation, but these days you can probably just go online to further research. Or find a friend or family member who can speak the language to help you as you learn from the book. Thank goodness I have my Thai wife as a guide.

This book has great concepts in it and great basic for getting the basics down for Thai language. The home work was a great addition for me.

Giving demonstrated tips and Steps. Incredible educational book . Its will direct you about that . Its an ideal book for discovering that dialect. It's an incredible learning book about Thai dialect.I highly recommend this great book.

in this example the past tense verb is watched. as you can see from the example we have stated the time, therefore it is clear that the sentence is in the past.

Great book, talking some Thai the first day!

I find this book to be very patchy.Please, am I missing something? Where is the explanation of tones in the Thai language and the tone markers used in this book?What about a simple dictionary of commonly used words, just a couple of hundred would be a help?

Happy to have found this book. One of the best books i have read in a long time. I highly recommend this book.

Some typos. Structure is good. Would recommend using it together withonline resources.

OK sort of book but from the first few pages I guess a lot of people will be lost as they will have no idea on how to pronounce the words.They do suggest listing to YouTube etc but I want a one stop shop.

An interesting book. Different approach than others when used together can speed up learning the language.

Good teaching aide to learn how to speak Thai.Good examples with good instructions to assist in re-enforcing the teachings.The book is worthy of the five stars I have given it, however none of the links in my kindle purchase worked in allowing me to access the other books mentioned or learning tools highlighted. Which was a pity but still the book itself is a good learning tool.
