Good product the only complaint i have is i wish it would have a snap or a way to secure it completly closed when my GPS is in the case

The material used to cover the case is very abrasive.I dont understand why the also need to have back of the case feel like sandpaper. Every time you take the GPS out, it scratches what ever it was attached to -- belts, straps...

I like this case a lot after using it for a couple of days. I thought it would be like a tablet protector that stretches around the GPS. Like the description says, you undo the lanyard lock and it opens like a clamshell with the hinge on the bottom. This makes changing batteries very easy. Or removing the batteries when storing the GPS between uses.The case makes the GPS easier to hold because it is bigger and has a non-slip surface. The bigness of the case also provides some impact protection. The screen is deeply recessed in the case and well protected. I purchased some clear screen protectors separately for extra protection.The belt clip is removable, and I didn't need/want this feature, so removed it from mine.
