How to Take the Grrrr Out of Anger (Laugh & Learn®)

Practical and Kid-friendly!
I’m an elementary school counselor and have been going through this book with 2nd and 3rd grade students. Not only do they find it fun (and funny), they really like practicing the suggestions together. I can see them making connections with the content, but in very positive ways. The words do not shame them or have them feeling down on themselves. It does give some insight into what things commonly cause anger, how it feels in each individual’s bodies, as well as how to effectively manage it. The reading level and audience is spot on for 2nd - 5th grade students. This was a great purchase for my school collection and one I will recommend to parents. Well done!

Handy advice for kids AND adults!
This book was so well written! Lots of grrreat ideas, presented in an example format that can be applied in all kinds of situations. It describes what the emotion may feel like, validates it, describes it's effects on everything, gives suggestions on how to handle it, and has a separate section on how parents and teachers can help support someone who's having more severe issues. We read it a few pages at a time before bed and discussed what we'd read with the whole family. Absolutely worth the money and I recommend it to EVERYONE!!!

Well-written for children
Excellent samples of anger situations that are written in a manner that is easy for a child to identify with and paired with very practical strategies for a child to learn and adapt to their own life issues. Highly recommended.

Engaging pics and kid friendly language ❤
We literally just picked this up off the doorstep, ripped open the envelope, and my son was already engaged in the content. He's 7 and whom the book was intended. The book right away has attractive and fun illustrations, and he felt like it "understood" him with explaining how anger feels and why it's normal. The rest of the book has tips, strategies, and resources including websites and other books for both kids and adults. Yayyy!

Engaging for kids and adults alike
My 9 year old son and I started reading this and are 2 chapters in and we both enjoyed it. We both learned a lot and we're able to relate. My boy struggles with getting his emotions out and understanding why he's upset and I think this book will help a lot. Very excited to try out some of the other books!

Says interest level ages 8-13. Definitely not for an 8 y.o.
Overall okay book, but has words and suggestions not natural for children. Suggestions and situations are not written for a child; sounds like an adult trying to speak like a child but using grown up phrases.

Great book!
My daughter loved it! I bought this after she had a massive meltdown/temper tantrum and this book really put things into perspective for her. She is 10. She enjoyed it and also loved the funny pics and writings.

A must for all parents
Best book I have ever read. Not only did I learn many tools myself but the book has helped my kids see their anger and express it much better.

Even better then I thought!
I have truly enjoyed this book. It is written clearly and has wonderful pointers in helping young ones with anger issues get better in expressing themselves and facing their anger.

Brilliant
This is an excellent book. I was able to read this like a story book to my 7 year old who struggles to control his temper outbursts. He really enjoyed the story and it enabled extra discussion around topics in the book.
