Made by Dad: 67 Blueprints for Making Cool Stuff

I checked this out of the library as my 4 and 7 y/o grandsons like to make things with me and grandpa. I gave it to them with sticky notes to pick the ones they wanted to do. It can back with almost every page marked! So I decided to buy it. Many of the projects require materials that I don't have around the house, but are easily obtainable. Not good for a spur of the moment rainy day activity. Would recommend.

A little disappointed in the content of this book. I will say the paper quality and presentation is nice and it is a a great idea, but the projects could be better.And no, I didn't get a free product or reduced price for this review. I don't know why Amazon still allows that non-sense. Please encourage Amazon to stop spamming on their site. If price paid is less than half current price, review drops off site - I personally don't care about a review someone did of a product that they paid a penny for!

My son got this when he was six and has been pouring over the blueprints for almost a year. We have built a few of the projects and they are so much fun. You don't have to be an artist as long as you aren't a perfectionist. Let kids draw how they like and they will have a great time. I also bought a similar book that is a mom version, but it doesn't have as many pictures. I think he will like it better when he is older. For now, kid, dad AND mom are having a great time with this book.

As a nanny, I thought this book would be just what Iwas looking for. Unfortunately, most of the projectswere a bit more complicated than I had thought theywould be.However, I think most Dads or Moms who have theknack would find this book lots of fun and quite doable.I will make a gift of this book to one of my clients who isa graphic artist and will definitely use it.

This is a really cool book, but a lot of the things in here will take a TON of supplies and work to accomplish. Not really a fun afternoon thing. They will take all day rounding up supplies (people don't just have this stuff lying around), and then actually making it. But, honestly...the kids and their stepdad are looking forward to making more things out of this book.

I just bought this book for one of my girlfriends who is a very crafty and creative single mom of a 9 year old. I flipped through it and I'm a little embarrassed to give it to her. I was going to embellish the cover to say "MOM" instead of "DAD" but I decided not to incase she wants to re-gift it to someone less creative. I wouldn't really describe most things in the book as "cool" and most can be made by your child without any help from dad or mom...

This was purchased as a gift for my husband when we were expecting our first son. They have only done a few of the smaller things together so far but my husband loves it! There are so many fun crafts/experiments to choose from. My husband is not the craftiest type so this book was a great one stop shop for father/son ideas.

Got this for use with my grandson. I can see that as he gets older, this will be a fun, go-to book for all things cool. If you want to teach your kids (and yourself) a few things and have lots of fun in the process, get this book. It's neatly organized, each project has a difficulty rating and the diagrams are awesome. There are some really amazing ideas in there.

This is a brilliant and inspirational book. If you have children buy it, read it and, most importantly, do it.The ideas are mostly quite simple but regardless of how simple they are it is the act of making rather than buying that matters and making it with your kids that turns this into something special.

This was packed with loads of ideas for Dads ( and Mums, uncles, aunties etc.) Lots of different things from no budget to reasonably low budget things to make together. Instructions were simple and easy to follow.

A lot bigger and more than expected pleasant surprise can't wait for cChristmas now
