William MorrisMixed Patterns Placemats - Set of 6

Absolutely loving these. Got tired of buying mats which last six months so wanted something a little more durable and would save me binning two sets of mats and coasters a year. I have a very old melamine set of mats which were given as an engagement present over thirty years ago, well nearer forty if I’m honest, These mats have chipped slightly and have a felt bottoms....getting old and not wanting my young children to ruin then I changed to using the cork backed heat resistant mats. The kids got older and stopped abusing everything insight but I have continued to use the ones with the cork back which I need to replace at least twice a year as they become tatty, badly marked, horrible to look at Hard to keep clean. My melamine mats are kept safely for sentimental reasons.I purchased these William Morris in the belief that they would make an excellent replacement mat, offering a long life, durability and stunning on the eye....I am not disappointed. They wipe, they shine, they will live with me for a long time. There will be no necessity to throw these in the bin, they are a direct replacement for my melamine ones. Am I happy, yes.....would I recommend....of course......should you buy yours today.....Yes! No more wasted money, no more binned mats twice a year helping the environment I hope.These mats are equal to he task, I believe I will be using them for many years....in fact they may just outlast me!

Really good easy to clean surface and they haven't split or scratched like every other placemats I've ever bought. Not too slippery either, plates don't slide off them. And designs are great.

Very pretty, being melamine they will hopefully be more durable than the ones they replace.

Good quality. Should last a long time.Reasonably priced. Simple to keep clean without damaging the design.

The place mats are very thin and after only two months have started to warp. The nats are bending like a banana even though they are stored flat.

Only bought these a couple of months ago and have barely used them.They’ve bowed meaning they now rock on the table. What a shame. Due to heat maybe? But shouldn’t do this I’m sure.
