Best Mouse I've Had So Far
My cat chewed through two Logitech G400's and I finally decided I needed to start going a little cheaper with my mice. This was about the cheapest one I could find with the features I wanted, so I was extremely surprised when I ended up liking it more than the G400. I've been using the claw grip since I was a wee lad playing Counter-Strike 1.6, and this mouse is much more fitting for my grip than any other I've had. Your normal 5 button mouse has the side buttons fairly far up, great for palm grip, awkward for claw. They're a little further back on the Xornet. If you're using the claw grip, it's great, but I've found that if I palm it, it's actually easy to hit the back button with the knuckle, instead of the top of my thumb, so actually with either grip the button placing is much better. I didn't find it to be restrictive of my ring figer at all, rather, the Xornet has almost a little sloping shelf. If I'm palming, it's just a nice place to have my finger hang out, and it feels perfectly natural, and for claw, the tip of my ring finger rests on it while my pinky hangs out on the side. It feels perfectly natural and comfortable. One of the features this mouse lacks over others is the ability to custom set the DPIs. You're stuck with what they give you, but I haven't found that a problem as I just keep it ramped up to 2000 and adjust the sensitivty in whatever I'm using. It's not a feature that I miss when I use the Xornet. The Xornet doesn't have any little feet on the bottom, but the forward and back parts on the bottom of the mouse have long raised parts, which makes it glide very smoothly along my mousepad. The lightness of the mouse contributes to this as well. It's not so light that I find myself making mistakes, but I definitely have no problem making long sweeping motions very quickly. Overall, I've tried a lot of other, more expensive gaming mice, and this is the best one I've found so far.

Great Mid Priced Mouse for the Mid Ranged Gamer (and up eve!)
I purchased this mouse after much research into a value gaming mouse. I was tired of using the optical mice thrown in as pack-ins for prebuilt systems. I only recently (and FINALLY) built the gaming PC I've been meaning to build for the longest time. I'm still fairly invested in console gaming, though I must admit my fondness for PC gaming is slowly eating away at the time I spend on my PS3. In any event, I looked around for a good mouse that wasn't a $100 Razr with 20 programmable buttons as it was something I couldn't see myself ever getting full use out of something like that (nor was I interested in the premium devices like those have attached). So I went with this mouse, and I does everything I need it to and it does it well. It has a few preset DPI settings (something I know some gamers take issue with, being you can't set your own DPI levels). However the 3 main levels work great for me. Leave it on 3500 DPI when I'm gaming and need more precision, perhaps use the on mouse buttons to drop it down a level if I feel the controls are getting too twitchy (not always a good thing in shooters), and keep it either on the second or first DPI setting for most of my Windows use. It fits my hand great and has a great eye catching design with a well thought out color scheme (it looks sleek and modern, but it doesn't feel overly gaudy or ostentatious). I love the claw grip, and the two programmable side buttons are placed perfectly for reaching (right above your thumb, neither are awkward to push). I like to set one of them to reload and the other to melee in most FPS's, and this mouse doesn't miss a beat. It has a nice long USB cord with gold plated contacts (I suppose it's nice for corrosion resistance, but I can't say I've ever had an issue with corroded USB contacts before lol). It is a nice mouse that does what it advertises, and it does it well. It doesn't have many frills, but it will serve you quite well. If you are like me, a once hardcore console gamer who is slowing down a bit as he closes in on 30 (lol), and are just picking up PC gaming, this mouse will do you well. In fact, if you are a hardcore PC gamer and don't have the coin to plunk down on a more expensive mouse, this is a perfectly viable option. I have many a PC enthusiast friend who are impressed with the mouse for its price. If you are looking at this mouse, chances are you are one of the two types of gamers I've mentioned in this review, and if you are, just go ahead and get it. Note: Price reviewed - $29.99

I recommend people seeking a replacement for, now out-of-production, g9 and g9x to try out the CM Storm Xornet. It feels wide, small and comfortable. One thing to note is that it does not have the weight adjustment --- so it is light, equivalent to g9 with all the weights taken out. However, I tried multiple mice, g500s, naga, r.a.t. 3 and r.a.t. 7 and none of them approach the comfort or form factor of g9. While this cheap mouse beats all those expensive ones and feels much better for claw/fingertip grips. Recommend picking it up as a replacement mouse at least. I am not sure of the durability, as I've just received it, but if it breaks I'll update this.

This mouse has a very comfortable and ergonomic design. It fits perfectly in the palm of my hand with a space specifically to rest my third finger and my thumb. It is easy to use and uses a USB. "Xornet" is printed down the side where my third finger would rest, along with CM STORM and the loco printed on the back of the mouse. This has not been worn off in the time I have used this, and I use it for many hours daily (game addict!) The main part of the mouse is a shiny black, with the left and right mouse buttons being matte black to avoid any slipping of the fingers. In between the LMB and RMB there is a scroller which is nicely textured and slightly rubbery and then 2 arrowed buttons which can be binded to whatever function you wish. On both sides of the mouse there is a rubbery textured area which allows the user to gain grip on the mouse. The left side of the mouse contains two buttons MB4/5 I believe. These can also be binded and I use MB5 as a push-to-talk on Team-speak and a toggle mute on Skype. The wire is long which is also a benefit. This is a great gaming mouse, and for the price you cannot really go wrong. I would purchase this again and I would recommend it.
