This was a Christmas gift for my son-in-law. He has quite a vintage and new record collection. This was a double album set. Chris Stapleton is one of his favorite country artist.

Such a great album! I am not a huge "newer" country music fan. I prefer older stuff such as, Hank Sr., older Merle, Patsy Cline, Cash, Waylon, Willie, etc. I do enjoy some 90's country as well (i.e. Randy Travis, Wade Hayes). Chris Stapleton is a perfect blind of a lil' newer, with that amazing older patina to his sound. I even hear bits & pieces of southern rock and, an almost CCR type of groove in there. Brilliant song writer, great vocalist and, not to shabby a guitar player as well. His wife, Morgane Stapleton provides the perfect blend of harmonzing backup vocals. My whole family sings each song out loud as we blast this amazing album...including my 3 year old! One of the BEST albums to come down the pipe in the last couple of years, regardless of "genre"...in my opinion. With this album he has gained a Stapleton fan for life. Can't wait to hear his next album!
