Very Easy to apply
Very Easy to apply. And I am really happy with the results. I have an alfani black leather jacket that I have had for 4 years. I would wear it every day the winters before that (because it kept me warm.) But last year I decided not to wear it, because the cuffs, elbows, shoulder and stomach area (where my messenger bag lays across my chest) were all scuffed, and looked... not great, almost gross. But, I missed my warm comfy broken-in coat and my wool coat was a bit scratchy not as smooth as my beautiful leather. So this year before it got back into the 10's and 0's I decided to give my jacket another try.Let me tell you this... THIS WORKS SO WELL!! Not perfect, just very good. If you apply the serum to thin you will get streaks and inconsistencies in the finish. But if you leave a nice shiny coat on and just let it air dry it turn out almost new looking. I put a photo on of the elbows and you can see the difference in not only color and sheen, but also the worn/graying areas have actually disappeared (excitement made me forget to take before and after photos I am sorry for that). I will agree with the other reviewers that say it leaves the coat feeling a bit stiff, but I have no problems with that. With a little wear the stiffness will go away. Odor is a little strong for now, but it has vanished more and more each day.You will see people complaining about how 1 bottle isn't enough for a jacket, but I did my entire XL jacket and still have 1/3 or 1/4 left in the bottle!I didn't realize that it would be a screw off cap I thought it would be one of those tilt caps where you push down the back and the front comes up and it flows cleanly out the little hole in the front. It wasn't, it was a screw off and it got a little messy. It came with the bottle of black magic juice, 2 gloves, a very helpful little dixie cup, and a sponge on a stick. I also got a wonderful sunflower seed in the package (shown in the photo). If I knew about that little bonus I would have bought this muuuch sooner. All in all, I would defiantly recommend this. It will bring new life to your worn and beloved leather garments.

Enough for entire livng room set if you do it right.
I recently bought a beautiful European living room set on Craigs List, made with thick black leather. The set is 8 years old and the sofa seat cushions and chaise are very worn and faded in the most-used areas, while the sides, backs, and less-used areas look brand new. I needed to find something to restore the color and sheen.I always read many reviews before buying a product and one of the things I saw over and over for this product was that the 2oz isn't enough to cover an entire coat. Well, this bottle IS enough to cover an entire living room set if you do what I did:-Get a bottle of Kiwi Leather lotion (or any leather conditioner) and a box of 100 vinyl gloves from the health/medicine section at Walmart.-Forget the applicator - using your hand gives you better control and a better feel of how well the product is absorbing. Put a quarter-size amount of Kiwi Leather Lotion into your gloved hand, on the finger area, not the palm.-Add 2-3 drops of the Black Jacket color restorer.-Use your thumb and fingers to squish it together, mushing it around until the color is somewhat uniform. It doesn't have to be perfect.-Use your hand to rub the product into the leather, one section at a time. Use circular motions and rub until evenly distributed into the leather. Work quickly because it dries fast, but the added lotion gives you a bit more time.-When it dries, lightly buff with a microfiber cloth, soft towel, or old t-shirt. Let it set overnight. The next day buff it again.Voila. The treated areas have the same softness and sheen as the untreated areas. Even in the brightest light and from every angle, we could not tell where the faded areas used to be. Not only in color, but texture and sheen, the treated areas blend right in and look just as brand new as the rest of the leather. My husband, who is not easily impressed, was impressed. Now, a word of warning. When leather is worn out, the water-proof top coat is gone. This product does NOT restore that, although the sheen makes it appear waterproof. I tested treated and untreated/unworn areas with a drop of water. The waterdrop beaded on the untreated/unworn, still waterproof areas. However, the waterdrop was absorbed on the treated areas, indicating the area is still no longer waterproof. Additionally, the waterdrop left a slight mark that remained even when buffed with a towel. I had to retreat the area. For a sofa, it shouldn't be a problem. However, wearing a treated jacket in the rain might be. I highly recommend waterproofing the jacket after treating.I have not given five stars because at this point I am not sure of the colorfastness of the product. On Day 2 I wiped the treated areas with a paper towel and while they still look beautiful, there is a small amount of black on the paper towel. Not a huge amount, and not when I just press the paper towel to the area, but still. Moving around on a treated sofa may possibly transfer color onto light colored clothing. It's possible that waterproofing will eliminate this issue. If I try that I will update with the results.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product!!!!
I am not an emotional type, but I have to say, I just LOOOVE this product!!!!My background is in apparel design and I have to confess to being a bit of a clothes and accessory horse. I buy good quality timeless pieces and want them to last. Black Jacket has so far totally restored 3 pieces I loved but thought were done.1) A fabulous heavy vintage distressed leather jacket that was starting to crack and had lost a whole lot of color.2) A beautiful vintage Gucci bag. I was a little nervous to use it on this but it restored it to like new condition.3) A beautiful old quilted leather Betsey Johnson Bag is also like new again.I have just come back to order 2 more bottles for me and 2 for my Mom who, after seeing how beautifully Black Jacket restored my garments, had to have her own black magic. Can't wait to go through the rest of my closet and restore belts, shoes/boots, other bags and jackets. It is sooo great when a product lives up to expectations....This one far exceeded mine. I just wish I had taken a few before and after pics to post but will do so after the holidays when I do some of the other pieces. One more thing...This is also a great company to deal with. I am a little particular, okay very particular about the products I use....I don't want to use anything toxic, with lead, or that would come off on my clothes. I emailed the company prior to ordering with several questions. They responded quickly and couldn't have been more helpful. My package also arrived very quickly. So, lots of kudos to a great company and phenomenal product! (:
