mCover iPearl Hard Shell Case for 13-inch Model A1425 / A1502 MacBook Pro (with 13.3-inch Retina Display) (Green)

This case is an excellent value. The cover fits the MacBook Pro 13-inch with retina display perfectly. Installation is easy, and the cover looks great on the Mac. After 1 month of use, no test of its protective capabilities, but the hard shell material seems durable and able to withstand accidental impacts. The surface has a slight matte finish, which reduces fingerprints, smudges, etc. and wipes clean easily. The rear foldout feet on the bottom of the case provide increased ventilation and set the Mac at a slightly elevated angle; although I rarely use them, they are a nice option to have and not typically found on offerings from other manufacturers. My order shipped with a (red) keyboard cover which fit perfectly over the keyboard, but does alter the feel of the keys somewhat. I consider this case an excellent value, featuring high manufacturing quality and reasonable price. I suspect you could spend more but not find a significantly better product. Highly recommended.

I've been using iPearl cases for a few years now - I had one on my old white Macbook, got one for my Mom's Macbook air, and have had this one for my Macbook Pro Retina (Fall 2013 model - always make sure you get the right case for your Mac model) for a couple of months now. Like my previous experiences, this case has been a perfect fit.The case itself offers great protection from minor bumps - I once accidentally slammed my case-enclosed Mac against a desk edge (don't ask...it was an accident) and the computer and case were fine. One great thing about this case is that it keeps the computer slightly above the table surface, protecting the computer against spills on the table. The keyboard style legs on the back of the case shift the laptop to a more user friendly angle. The rubber feet on the front help prevent sliding (the glue on these can come loose, but a drop of glue fixes the issue, and when I once lost one of the rubber legs, the seller mailed me a replacement piece). One reviewer mentioned sharp edges: easy fix - use the case for a week or so of light-moderate typing, and your wrists will smooth out any sharp edges (not to say you'll get cuts - it's a really minor irritant - it's sharp like the raised dots on a remote control may be"sharp").The color is beautiful! I would liken it to the hue of a fresh orange - definitely not a burnt orange, but not too bright. I have gotten countless complements on the color from coworkers.I would definitely recommend this case to others!

I got the package from Amazon today and I was pleasantly surprised to see that iPearl had also included a keyboard skin cover and an iPad stylus for free. Great to see extra goodies. The frosted feel of the case feels great, fits perfectly and easy to put on. The top lid could be a little difficult to take off and you have to be extra careful not to put too much pressure on the screen, but that's ok since you won't take it off too frequently other than just for cleaning every 3 to 4 weeks. The bottom is a different story altogether. It has way too many vents at the bottom which I really appreciate since Macbooks tend to heat up, and it also keeps the side vents appropriately exposed. However, the vents causes a rather un-pleasant look, but then you always sacrifice looks for safety of your precious Apple product. The only major con is that it has two clip stands in the bottom which are prone to damage (i have used such cases before and the clip stands are the one part that falls apart first) and it adds a little bulk to the Macbook.UPDATE 2/11/2014:I received my external monitor today and connected it with HDMI cable to the macbook. One of the side tabs on the top cover of the case will obstruct the HDMI port on the macbook partially when the macbook is in closed clamshell mode (display closed). I want to use my external monitor in closed clamshell mode and the display won't go down completely after the HDMI port is jacked in because the side tab on the case top cover will prevent it from doing so. This may not be a huge deal but it adds to the ergonomics of the case, and this is the only part of the case that could obstruct one of your only HDMI port in the Macbook in closed clamshell or closed display mode.

I doubt my new macbook pro retina is going to be as mobile as my ipad but I was paranoid to pick it up and carry it anywhere. This offers some protection on all corners of the laptop. It fits perfectly, barely increases the bulk and I love the color. I didn't see it in the product description but included are a keyboard cover and stylus. I don't hear and clicks or rubbing when opening or closing my macbook. I haven't installed the keyboard cover as I really like the keyboard feel as it is. This is great cover at a fabulous price. A helpful hint to people who order this - the top cover has small tabs on one side, arrows on the other. The tabs go toward the top of your screen. And when installing the bottom, you need to make sure you get the back taps in their spot before sliding the laptop all the way forward.Hope this helps@
