This energy monitoring solution works and provides information on the power draw of devices plugged into it. It is great for checking how much a device draws though this is only if you view the display from the same height and it isn't obscured by the appliance you are testing.A more user friendly solution might be a wifi enable plug with power monitoring app on you smartphone.

I bought this to try and see how much electricity each appliance uses. Instructions are poor and difficult to understand for the average lay person, perhaps I was expecting something easier to setup, read and understand!

Does what it claims but not much by way of instructions. A bit tricky to set up.

Big display and easy to use

Serves the basic purpose I bought it for - to read current power usage, cumulative power usage, voltage, and current. Functionality like power usage over time would be nice but not expected for the product advertised.My only significant complaint is that the display is difficult to read from certain angles, but provided you look at it from the right angle it is clear and large enough to read reasonably easily.If you don't need anything fancy and just want a power reading, this does the job perfectly well.

Was delivered promptly. Seems accurate when checked with know loads. Big problem is that the display is only visible when unit is at or above eye level, meaning even with optional light on, if plugged into normal skirting board socket it can only be read by laying on the floor. I get over this by plugging an extension block laying flat on the floor into the socket then plugging the unit with attached load into that extension. The display is then clearly visible whilst standing up at the equivalent of being up to about 45 degrees above eye level and the same amount to each side. Possibly my unit has a faulty display as I would have expected to read it over a reasonable angle in any direction.

I checked the accuracy of the unit when I received it and it was OK. It became more and more difficult to get it to reset and start recording over the four weeks I had it. It ceased working altogether after four weeks.

I run my business from home.Given the increased cost in electricity and the setup I run, I wanted to ensure I was claiming the correct amount now and going forward for the new tax year.Suffice to say...I'm glad I bought this unit as it shows just how big a chunk my work setup is costing to run.Easy to set up the device, clear to read screen and very sturdy unit.Highly recommended.
