RainX Fix a Windshield Do it Yourself Windshield Repair Kit, for Chips, Cracks, Bulll's-Eyes and Stars

I have use multiple of these windshield repair kits now. This one is by far the best. Using it was easy, and the system really gives good pressure to let the resin sink into the glass. It reduces the appearance by roughly 90%. It's also not messy since the resin doesn't cure unless it's under sunlight (unlike the permatex one which I would assume is just super glue) if you rinse out the applicator this is good for five cracks or more. The other image was of the fix I made with the permatex, the syringe base fell off and was leaking and I could not stick it back on because the resin dried on the base and is no longer sticky. I could only slather the super glue over it and wish it stops the crack. In short, it didn't. TLDR: don't buy the permatex, buy this. This is not messy, not single-use and certainly works

I had 2 dings on my front windshield, one with a little longer hairline cracks than the other. After getting quotes via yelp, reading reviews, and looking at before/after pictures, I decided to just DIY it myself. Getting it done by a business doesn’t guarantee that the dings will become invisible, just that it won’t further crack, so I figured then I might as well do it myself. This was easy to use and it worked great for the smaller ding. The one with more of a crack didn’t disappear completely but I can live with it and has not cracked any further. As long as you’re ok with your dings being slightly visible as a possibility, I think this would work fine

I had a 4" crack in a small, front door vent window. The window replacement cost was $700. My insurance deductible is $500. I decided to give this repair kit a try. My expectations for this repair kit were very low. Now I wish I had taken before and after photos. The crack was clearly visible before I used this product. After the repair the crack 99% disappeared when viewed from the outside of the car. There is still a very thin line visible from inside the car. I did not use the product on the inside, but may give that a try. I am very pleased with the results and highly recommend this product.

I used the Rain-X 600001 Windshield Repair Kit on a windshield crack, and it worked okay, but it wasn't quite as quick and easy as I expected. I had to repeat the process multiple times before I was satisfied with the results, and the crack was still somewhat visible afterward. In my experience, the resin itself seemed to do most of the work, while the included applicator tool was a bit cumbersome to use. I actually found it easier to focus on getting the resin into the crack than relying on the tool setup. That said, it did help improve the appearance of the damage and may help prevent the crack from spreading further. For small chips and cracks, it's worth trying before paying for a professional repair, just be prepared to spend some extra time and possibly apply it more than once.

I have to say that though this seems like a decent solution for normal pits in a windshield, it didn't help me. The crack in my windshield seems to have been most severe under the surface, perhaps where laminated pieces of glass join. At any rate, despite trying to force the glue into the crack, the appearance of the crack remains unaltered and I don't think the glue made its way into the main portion of the crack. I don't really fault the maker for this, but it's something to be aware of if you have a crack that looks to be mostly sub-surface.

I’m extremely impressed with the Rain‑X 600001 Windshield Repair Kit. A small rock chip appeared on my windshield and I wanted to fix it quickly before it spread into a full crack. This kit did exactly what it promised. The instructions were easy to follow, and the entire process took less than 30 minutes from start to finish. The resin flowed well into the damaged area, and after curing in sunlight, the chip was barely noticeable unless you know exactly where to look. Easy to use! I was very skeptical about this product, but purchased it anyway! I was able to repair the chip on my windshield without a problem. The chip almost disappeared! It worked so well, I decided to use it on another vehicle with an older chip. The instructions say to use as soon as possible after the damage occurs. I have to say that it worked on the older chip just as well

I’ve ordered this a couple times now. I wouldn’t say it’s easy to use but it seems to work. Definitely worth it to avoid the cost of a new windshield. The first crack I had in my old car held up for years without spreading any more. I eventually sold that car and now I’ve also used this on a chip/crack on my new car which has held up for a few months so far. I haven’t been able to get the resin into the chip/crack to a point where it all “disappears” as the instructions say (it did in some parts but not others) but even so, it’s seeming to work. Repairing the cracks was an easier process than the chips IMO. Make sure you can get your car in the sun or have a UV light in order to cure the resin. Also be prepared that this will take time. You will do one step, wait, do the next step, wait, etc.

Das Ergebnis war gut. Ich habe die Anweisungen im YouTube-Video befolgt und keine UV-Lampe verwendet. Ich habe tatsächlich nur fünf bis sechs Tropfen benutzt. Hoffentlich brauche ich es später nicht mehr. :)

Tbh I didn’t expect this to work at first, but the outcome is a pleasant surprise. It’s not perfect, but it stopped the growth of that crack. And although I can still see a teeny tiny crack at certain angles, I think it’s good enough for now. It’s so much cheaper than getting a new windshield. Worth every penny I spent on it.

10/10 Tienen que leer bien las instrucciones y solo funciona con estrelladas del tamaño del ojo del centro de la araña donde se aplica el producto. Para fisuras muy grandes, no funciona.. mejor adquieran ya el nuevo parabrisas. Es para pequeños detalles, que son molestos por algún accidente con una piedra en carretera.

piccolo foro, senza lunga criccatura, molto vicino al montante. Ho tagliato in parte due delle ventose per poter centrare il forellino . Applicato secondo le istruzioni, applicato un foglietto protettivo, fatto asciugare e ripulito con la lametta tenuta a 45°. Mia moglie non è più stata in grado di identificare il danno. Veramente efficace.
