This is the cold therapy that was missing from my life.
I can't tell you how many times I've held a flat, blocky ice pack to my wrist trying to relieve my repetitive-motion pain in my mouse & ten-key hand, only to have the hand pressing down on the block become frozen while my actual injury hand remained unrelieved because of inefficient surface contact. Most other "wrist" cooling wraps I see online are just smaller, flat ice blocks all tiled together in hopes of increasing surface access, but failing because there are still gaps and the wrapping that holds everything in place is too bulky and cumbersome. Penguin Fingers is exactly the neat, compact, and most importantly 360 degree surface contact I've been searching for for years. After it's fully frozen, it's a little too stiff to roll onto your wrist, so you just gotta wait 1 or 2 minutes and gently mush the gel around, then roll it on over your hand. It makes my wrist feel SO NICE with both cold and compression, and a really great bonus feature is that it loses it's chill right around the same time you'd have to stop icing anyway, (you shouldn't ice any part of your body for more than 5 minutes at a time,) so there's zero risk of over-icing yourself. For reference, my wrist is 6" around at the smallest point, and the widest part of my palm is 7.5" around. I'm going to buy 2 more, one to keep in my work freezer, one to keep as a backup just in case my husband breaks my original purchase by playing with it too much. =P (Speaking of which, these REALLY like to shloop right out of your hands when they're fully thawed and the liquid viscosity is lowest, so don't hold it over a surface that you'd hate to drop it on, like a dirty floor or a jagged gravel yard etc.)

easy to use and stays cold for a long time
I stumbled across this great find while looking for something to ease wrist pain. It’s perfect and very easy to use. I wish I had bought more than one. It stays cold for a long time after being in the refrigerator, although I would not freeze it. Great by for the money. It’s easy to get on and off and it seems like it will last for a while.

Good idea, bad execution
I got this hoping it would be good for my carpal tunnel wrist at the end of a long day, but no such luck. These things are TINY. I’m a 5’10 man with average sized hands. After the awkward process of “rolling” it on, it instantly starts cutting off circulation to my hand and just makes my wrist ache even more. The cherry on top is that it barely holds cold. Within just 5 minutes it’s gotten back to room temp. This makes it to where you can’t even use it as a topical ice pack even if you wanted to. Pass on this.

Work well but not ideal
These do great at reducing wrist inflammation. Easy to roll on (must roll it on as per instructions) and get very cold. I have mommy’s wrist in my left wrist and bought two of these to alternate. I put them over a compression sock I cut the end out of because they get way too cold when frozen to put directly on skin. Only problem is the fairly large air bubble inside. The one place on my wrist I need cold therapy (thumb side) is also where the air bubble tends to be when wearing it. Very frustrating. I have to stay mindful of my wrist position to keep the icy part where I need it and that is a bit of a pain and at times requires awkward positioning. If these did not have the air bubble, they would be so much better.

Convenient and worth the money for carpal tunnel pain
I love these. I developed carpal tunnel this past year and what with finishing my Master's degree online, teaching high school students virtually full time, and then grading all my students' work online, I spent all of last year basically at the computer all day every day. My wrists were killing me even with an ergonomic keyboard, wrist rest, and vertical mouse. I used regular ice packs, but I couldn't multi-task and it was hard/awkward to ice both wrists at the same time. These things have been a life saver. They slide on so easily. At first, I was struggling trying to put my hand in, but then I realized that the material doesn't stretch - instead you ROLL it onto your hand. It reminded me of those kids toys that were jelly tubes filled with liquid and glitter that they used to sell at Walgreens where if you grabbed it by the end and squeezed it, it would roll out of your hand. The only problem I have with these is that I can't wear them on my bare skin after leaving them in the freezer because it's so cold that it burns. I've taken to wearing my thin carpal tunnel compression wrist sleeves and then putting the Penguin Fingers on top, so the thin layer of spandex minimizes the burning of the cold. They are a great thing to come home to after a long day and burning wrist pain, plus they leave you free to use your hands and move around doing other things or continuing to do the wrist-pain-inducing activities in the first place, like typing and writing. It would have been nice to be able to buy them in a two pack instead of individually, but if definitely recommend these to anyone suffering with wrist pain.

It works well
I opened the box and thought i’d made a mistake. It seemed much too small and delicate. But i was wrong. If you follow the directions and just slide it over your fingers, its easy. Directions also say not to use directly on skin, so i put an arthritis compression glove on first and it still slides on easy. It is much to cold to use, even over the glove, when it comes from the freezer. I’m having better luck with the refrigerator. It does seem delicate, so I put it in a bowl when it’s cooling to prevent damage from other containers. It is a great design for what it’s meant to do...provide coolingto inflamed wrist while still allowing use of hands.
