I bought this quite a while back and used it to help me quit smoking tobacco. I recently found the sealed bag in the back of the cabinet and I'm still using it for other purposes. Definitely recommend!

I cannot believe just how effective this Mullein is as an expectorant! I’ve been sick with something for just over 3 wks and yesterday this product arrived and I immediately made a very strong pot of tea. Two hours (ish) later my cough turned productive! I finished the pot and today I had 2 cups in the morning and not even an hour later my cough produced a ton! I am feeling SO MUCH BETTER and am breathing so much clearer and easier! The taste is mild even though I made it strong, and I add a little raw organic honey and it’s good! The only thing I’ve found that’s not good is the end of the pot cup has a mouthfeel of pokey fine hairs; however I discovered if I don’t aggressively stir or squeeze the leaves and JUST let them sit and steep, it is greatly reduced. Not a big enough issue for me personally to reduce the rating since it’s a plant issue and not the producer/seller issue. I’m going to use the mullein to make a tincture, steam, and smudge as well! I love that it’s natural and organic and wildcrafted because I am a forager and beginning level wildcrafter myself (just don’t have a lot of mullein around my home)! I’ll buy again and would encourage EVERYONE whom has a respiratory problem to drink this tea, on the regular, to strengthen their respiratory system, feel better, and recover quicker! This is absolutely THE BEST loose Mullein Leaf you will find on Amazon. They all say "cut & SIFTED" but all the others I tried are FILLED with sticks, stems, even small stones. In some cases nearly half the product was waste that should have been sifted out but was not. Starwest Botanicals mullein leaf is just the leaves. It saves you so much time not having to weed out all the debris not to mention that it's just a much better deal when you get a product that is this high of a quality. It comes fresh and packed in a reclosable mylar bag to keep it fresh. I won't waste my time or money on any other brand.

The tea came in a Mylar resealable bag. Sound like a great idea. But found that the internal seal was ripped during filling (I assume) as there was no damage to the Mylar from the outside. But no matter. I repackaged the tea in other air tight containers. The tea is mild but dark (I have over brewed it). Seems to help to break up my congestion in my lungs which is why I purchased it. I am pleased with the taste, not too grassy in taste, but similar to other herbal teas. Good buy.
