Inexpensive & Effective- the right combination!
Taking care of my 90 year old grandfather. He has trouble sometimes getting out of bed or out of deep seats. He can handle most day to day activities, but at night there are issues. Wanted something other than a bell to alert me to his needs. Because I am a deep sleeper, I also needed a product that would wake me in case he needed help in the night. We did not need a super expensive intricate radio/alert system. This product was the perfect match!! Works great , inexpensive and comes with everything you need! I placed one on his nightstand using the adhesive tape given and the other in his bathroom next to the commode in case he wasn't able to get up. Each call button came with a lanyard as well as a holster & 2 screws if it needed to be wall mounted. I just used the tape for convenience. The alarm setting is loud, but effective. The doorbell alert is what I use ( not as loud, and much less terrorizing for being awoken, but still very effective ). He doesn't like to carry the button around, so the lanyards aren't needed for us but could be useful for someone a little more active. It has given me the ability to do more daily tasks around the house ( cleaned gutters, washed the car, talk on the phone etc ) without worrying that I will come back to him having fallen down. The buttons are very easy for him to push. The pager is about 2/3 the length of my iPhone and about an inch thick. Has a clip for my belt though I just carry it in my pocket while around the house. At night I place it on my nightstand and it works perfectly! I didn't want to use baby monitors or bells/whistles. At the push of a button I can be by his side in seconds and can now sleep soundly knowing that I won't miss a thing. Highly recommended for its simplicity.

Good product, good price, good buy
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I purchased this for my elderly father as he is cared for at home. He was having trouble pressing the call button on the item we had before and it was time to look at other options. Very glad I chose this one. The call button is very easy to push and there’s a little red light that comes on when the button is pressed so he can see it worked. There are two sound options for the call box. You can either have a ding dong sound (which we use) or a very loud siren that does not go off until you turn it off on the call box. We never use that one as the ding song is quite loud and you can’t miss it. Batteries come with the set but I also ordered extra to have when I need them. My only complaint is that the lanyard that you put around your neck that the call button hangs from is pretty long. I wouldn’t mind it to be a bit shorter. Otherwise this has been a great purchase for him and we rely on it quite heavily.

Meets expectations well
I ordered this after my mom, who is terminally ill, had tried to call me on her cell phone from her bedroom when she was in pain but couldn't make a call out. She was too weak to yell for me. I was in the house and had no idea she was laying there in pain and felt so horrible. I looked for another way to make sure she could get my attention since her cell signal failed in her bedroom. I couldn't stand the thought that she was in there in pain and I was right there in the house and yet had no idea she was back in her room suffereing. I've had this thing for about month or so and it has been well worth the purchase. I tied one of the buttons to the handicap bar next to her toilet in the bathroom and I put the other one on her bedside table at night. When she is awake and out of her room in the daytime I have her where the one button around her neck. She has used it several times to get my attention when she needed help and it worked well. The siren mode is quite loud so I can pretty much hear that from anywhere in the house. The door bell sound is loud also. I switch back and forth between the two modes depending on what I am doing and where I am in the house. The receiver unit will clip on to your shorts or waist band but the clip isn't very sturdy and I've dropped it once already by wearing it. So, I don't wear it anymore. I just put it in my pocket or place it on a table nearby. When I did drop it I figured I had ruined it because the battery cover flew off and it hit the hard tile floor. I put it back together and it still worked. It has a little ratltle like maybe a piece of plastic broke off inside of it, but so far it hasn't affected its function. The little receiver is about the size of a garage door opener just to have an idea on size. The buttons are about as round as the bottom of a Vinti size Starbucks cup and about an inch thinck. Both buttons come with a lanyard and they come with a little adhesive holder you can use to mount it on something if you want. The house we live in is about 2000 square feet on a single level. I will say I was a bit worried the signal wouldn't work from back in my mom's bedroom since her cell signal wouldn't work back there and from what I read, but it works fine. One thing you have to tell the person with the botton is that they won't hear the noise the unit makes. The buttons are not audible, just the receiver unit. I just assured my mom I could hear it even when she could not. It has been a great tool and I have recommended it to our Hospice nurse for her other paitents.

Can You Hear Me NOW? Pager and Call Buttons for Quick Help At The Press of a Button!
I really like the simplicity of this call button system. It's effective and simple to use and requires NOTHING to set up, other than loading batteries into the call buttons and the pager (batteries were included). The pager uses AA and the buttons use a little 12 v battery (small cylindrical battery, similar to those used in garage door openers). Frequencies are pre-set and both call buttons "talk" seamlessly to the pager, with no "tweaking" needed. Just load the batteries & you're all set. This is really, really handy if you have a household member with an acute or chronic health condition. They can easily press a single button to "page" you (just wear the pager on your waistband--it has a built-in belt clip, so it's easy to clip onto your jeans). The pager has three settings: Off, Chime, or Alarm. The chime is a pleasant doorbell-like two tone page. The alarm setting sets off a not-to-be-missed alarm, like a siren, that lasts about 10 seconds (too loud for me, but your mileage may vary, depending on how you use the pager). The help button on the call buttons is easy to press, even for weaker, elderly people & I think even a small child (3 or up) would be able to press it easily. Each button can be carried room to room or can be mounted in one of the two provided "mounting cradles." I've mounted one of the "mounting cradles" on a bed headboard and the other on our treadmill, using some velcro-style Command Strips like these: Command Medium Picture-Hanging Strips 12-Picture, White . Two lanyards are provided, too, if you want to make the call buttons "wearable" around the neck for ease of use. Really pleased with my purchase; this gives me peace of mind and the price was right--A++ purchase for me! --- Have a question about this call button/pager system? Just leave a comment & I'll be happy to help you, if I can.

Peace of mind when caring for aging parents
With aging parents living with me, I was looking for something that would make it easy for them to notify me if they need help. I am so pleased with the Smart Caregiver Two Call Button system. My parents each have their own button and the pager is in my room. The Chimes are loud enough to be heard throughout the house. The chimes sound twice then stop. The alarm feature is louder and continues to sound until turned off. We chose the chimes for now. But it's nice to know that I change the setting very easily by just using the switch on the pager. I also like the range of the system. It not only works throughout my home, but in the yard. If my Dad is in the garden and needs me, he just pushes the button and the chimes will play inside. I can hear the chimes from the other side of my home, even when the train whistles are blowing. My Dad, who is hard of hearing, cannot hear the chimes from that distance with the train noise. However, he can hear the chimes from that distance when there are no trains. The buttons do not make noise, only the pager. The pager also has a belt clip so it can be worn. However, for my use, the pager just sets on a shelf in my room. The only con, is that it only comes with one lanyard. But my Dad will keep his button in his pocket, until I can get another lanyard. He places the button holder on backwards to cover the button so he doesn't accidentally hit it. The holder slips on and off easily, so that will work for now.

Works but...
This works as it is intended but it isn't easy to carry around all day. The clip on the back of the receiving pager isn't strong. Whether I clip it to my pocket, belt, waist of my pants, etc. it doesn't hold tight enough to stay - it constantly falls. I am a very active person and have a lot of animals to take care of outdoors. I got this so that I wouldn't have to worry about my Mom while tending to the animals, but it unclips every time I bend over or move too quickly. The clip is a very poor design, other than that it's a decent product especially for the price. If you're looking for something to just use while sleeping or wear pants with large pockets, it should be fine. I do like that they aren't complicated for my Mom, she can simply hit a button. And the lanyards are really great so she can wear it around her neck. My only complaint is the clip on the receiver, but with it being so poor it has made this nearly useless for me and my needs so I deducted two stars.

Simple and Effective
Others mentioned the odd-sized batteries but I don’t care because the product is efficient and easy to use. Family member is ill and I hooked one button on a command hook on the nightstand and one next to their chair in the den. Easily seen and reachable. The call buttons come on a strap which we hang around the neck use when they are sitting on the patio or elsewhere. The receiver volume is plenty loud in the “ding ding” mode and attention getting when in the “alarm” mode. The receiver has a clip that really doesn’t hold on any waistbands, pockets, etc. I ended up shoving it in the back pocket of my jeans or carrying it with me from place to place when not attending to them. It’s kept my loved one from falls and any accidents because I can respond quickly. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

You Can't Go Wrong for the Price
My mother recently came home from the hospital and needed someone to watch over her 24/7. Prior to getting this Paging system my mother was using a Bell to summon assistance from my father who basically stopped doing things around the home for fear that he would not hear or miss my mom calling for help. My father couldn't watch TV, play music and even had trouble sleeping for fear that he wouldn't hear my mom. This Smart Caregiver Paging system was a lifesaver for my parents. We installed one button on the side of the bed and kept the second button as a portable unit. My dad would place the Speaker in the room he was sitting in or clip it to his belt when working out in the yard. The paging system gave my mom the confidence that my dad would hear her requests for help and it liberated my dad allowing him to resume more of his normal life, watching TV, listing to the radio, working in the garage and even working outside or visiting the neighbours. Best of all BOTH my Mom and Dad were sleeping better now that they had the paging system. While the quality of this paging system isn't as good as the more expensive units for $35 it does the job and is certainly worth the price. The paging speaker has two modes 1 - Chime Mode 2 - Siren Mode In Chime Mode the speaker goes ding dong like a doorbell. The speaker will only go Ding Dong once unless the pager button is pressed again. In Siren Mode the speaker will sound like a Siren. The Siren is louder than the Chime and will sound continuously until you acknowledge the siren and press the button to turn it off. My dad uses the Chime mode during the day when it's quiet in the house and the SIREN mode at night when he is sleeping or when he's working out in the yard or garage. My dad where's hearing aids and even with the hearing aid out he can still hear the Chime and Siren modes on the speaker. Overall I'm very pleased with this Caregiver Paging system and would highly recommended it if you're looking for a basic, no frills unit.

A twofold blessing
A twofold blessing. My husband has a progressive disorder and I used to find it difficult finding "me time" while being constantly alert on him. This helps me to do both. Good, carrying sound but not sharp. He also feels confident of immediate attention. A must for care-givers. Thanks a lot.

Great product
I have had problems with other wireless devices in my bungalow so was worried that I would not be able to receive the signal when I was at the far end of the house. It is excellent. I can hear it everywhere including in the garden. My mother is absolutley delighted with it. Her face lights up when I appear after she has pressed the button. Worth every penny to see her.
