Imperial 70299 Heavy-duty Adjustable Tap Wrench, 10" L X 2-1/4"

I am very disappointed in this item. I had a small tap wrench that the handle finally broke off of after about 10 years, and I needed to replace it. I have a large wrench, but it is about 18" long and doesn't fit into places where a small one does,and is rather unwieldy and uncalled for when using smaller taps. This item I have been scared to use because it looks to be made out of very cheap "pot metal" with a zinc-like coating. I tried to use it twice and it was not big enough for my 3/8-16 tap, and the other time it was twisting instead of turning and driving my tap! I was afraid it was going to snap and slit my wrist! I opted to put it away. I will be looking for another tap wrench that has the look and feel of a real tool. I do not recommend that you purchase this tap unless you are going to be tapping plastic with small taps, and are not going to "load it" very much at all. I tap threads into metal (machines) for applying bolts, and I will not use this. I bought this because I think a lot of Ace Hardware, and I thought that it would be a quality tool; it is not. It is advertised as "heavy-duty"; it is not.
