Simple install and perfect fit
Incredibly easy to install, just 3 bolts on each side. Be sure you have a torque wrench to make sure you have installed this correctly. You will also need a breaker bar to loosen the 1 old bolt you have to remove before installing the new bolts. You can tell this was made for the Liberty 2011 as it uses all available bolt holes and doesn't have a "if you have this car go to this page" type of direction set. Definitely worth the little bit more cost to get something custom fit versus the universal versions which require sometimes drilling or have hitches that are multiple pieces. This thing is 1 big solid piece of metal, no give to it.

Sturdy Hitch!
This hitch bolted up to my 2011 Jeep Liberty with no issues at all. It is a relatively easy job to do and required just a couple of tools. To make installation easy on older vehicles, be sure to find the correct size tap and chase the threads. For this application, a M12 x 1.75 tap was the correct size. Be sure to follow the torque spec in the instructions that comes with the hitch as well. Great product!

Easy to install
Installed this hitch on a 2008 Jeep Liberty. Very easy to do. The installation took me about twenty minutes and I did it by myself. Pulled my trailer with it several times and it works fine. The price was also good when I purchased mine, compared to other places online, plus 2 day shipping.

A pleasure to install.
This is a very heavy duty, easy to install, and good looking hitch for the Jeep Liberty. Just clean bolt holds with a small round brush before installing bolts. I used a 45 caliber revolver wire brush on a drill.

Perfect fit, just watch for sharp edges and poor paint job.
Product as described.. Perfect fit on my 2010 Liberty. Only complaints are, poor paint job. Had numerous paint chips upon receiving it. Also, there was a sharp piece of metal hanging down in the receiver housing. Removed it with a pair of pliers but could have easily cut myself if I hadn't noticed it.

This hitch fits the '08-'12 Jeep Liberty model and is rated at 5,000 tow weight. The build and finish appear to be excellent and is the only one to have the a mount position for the wire harness. The install was pretty simple, but the hitch is a little awkward to position. I used a box to hold the center us while aligning the bolt holes. What was most difficult was removing the one bolt for the frame mount on the driver's side. Once this bolt is removed, it will be replaced with one from the kit. This will take a lot of effort both removing the bolt and replacing it with the supplied bolt. Even though the hitch was powder coated, I used Rustoleun undercoat to prevent rust.

Great Quality and Fit
Great Quality and Fit! I will not begrudge the product for the following but it is something to watch out for... Being in Colorado, we deal with a lot of nasty road slop during the winter. That stuff gets under the vehicle and causes buildup and corrosion in areas like the bolt holes this hitch attaches to. I kid you not, it took about 4 hours to clean and re-clean the threading in the Jeep's bolt holes enough to where I could screw in the included bolts. Once I got those puppies cleaned out, the install went 'without a hitch'.So... if you are in a less 'sloppy' climate or you've just managed to get less corrosion under your Jeep than I have, It will be a fairly quick install. In retrospect, a tap and die (12mm?) probably would have made it easier for me to clear the Jeep's threads but, oh well.Back to the product. It is a very solid hitch that fit perfectly on my 2012 Jeep Liberty. It does stick out a bit further than expected but, when someone backs into me while parked at work, which sadly happens every so often, it will double as an extra layer of protection against vehicular damage.
