Not Thin, if done correctly will last
Perfect rubber soles replacements. The trick is the installationInstallationCutting them down can be done easily with heavy duty kitchen sissors.... Cutting them so only the bottom part of the sole that touches the surface if very important. I did a few templates with cardboard until I was satisfied.I used Barge contact cement. Applied to both surfaces on my porch because of smell. It was hot so it dried quickly. Press on and held all surfaces until look glued, and then after 20 minutes put on moccasins to add my weight. I did not walk but I wanted to add my weight to help the glue set. After a small amount of time, I used a tooth pick to get any of tiny small gaps along the toes by adding a slight amount of glue, let dry, applied pressure,They look solid... I was happy I did not ruin my new moccasins. The important part is not to leaves gaps so dirt can enter. It takes time. Thinner sole replacements would be easier but would not last as long.Because they were new and the leather was suede there was no cleaning or light sanding needed. They came out perfect according to Barge the bond will grow stronger after time....

These replacement soles are very sturdy and can be used for heavy boots.
I bought these soles to repair some favorite moccasins. These soles are sturdy and can be used for many types of shoes. They are in a very large size and can be trimmed with scissors to fit all types of footwear.Adhesive needs to be purchased separately. These replacement soles would be great for boots too!

Good for sole replacements, but not the most grippy
Bought these to improve the grip on a pair of street shoes I use for work. They did somewhat improve the grip, however they do not make them fully "non slip" in wet conditions. I do like the thickness/density of the rubber, as they have not worn thin in any areas. However, since these come at a US mens size ~13, they are VERY large! Be prepared with a sturdy craft knife to cut them down to size before attaching them to the base shoe. These also are not self-adhesive!! You will need a strong shoe glue like Barge Cement to attach them. These are NOT intended for patch-work or replacing a single section of a split-heel shoe. These are meant to replace a full sole.

Exactly What I needed
These are a very nice soles., good tread. Slightly heavier than I expected, and I needed good scissors to cut them. However they worked perfectly for my soft sole moccasins which were getting worn. It was easy to apply the soles, and they will add a long life to my favorite moccasins. Note, they are not self-adhesive, I used a contact cement product.

Great soles except that they smell like toxic waste
Easy to use, thick, good quality, but smell like the inside of a chemical factory. It's been 2 months and the smell hasn't gone away.

So far, so good
These things are thick and heavy. They have worked well for me.I play platform tennis. The surface of the court is basically an epoxy sandpaper, which just destroys soles. I go through a pair of shoes in two to three months. My answer was to glue these soles on top of the worn out soles using shoe goo. I got as much life out of these new soles as I did with the originals. $15 ($10 for soles, $5 for shoe goo) beats $135 for new shoes.Installation is a little difficult, but I found something that works for me. First I layer shoe goo on to the sole to make a relatively flat surface. Then I let that dry for a couple of days. Next I glue the sole on with shoe goo, using small screws as clamps. Make sure you take out your insoles first or you can put holes and glue in them. After that glue dries, I trim the soles using a utility knife. Next, I sealed the edged and filled any gaps with a bit more shoe goo. Once that final coat of glue dried, I pulled all of the screws. Figure on using most of a large tube of shoe goo, but it works great. If you have left over sole, don't be afraid to piece in sections where the shoe gets extra wear. My heals don't get as much wear, so I don't worry as much about them. I use the extra heal material to patch in the high wear spots. As you can see from the last pic, I have used several layers of new soles on these shoes. Shoes typically last one half of a platform tennis season. These made it five times as long. Using $30 worth of soles and $20 in shoe goo.
