Amazon Basics Classic Home Office Computer Desk with Shelves, 29.5 x 19.6 x 35.5 Inches, Espresso

I'm currently working from home so I needed a little desk that would accommodate two monitors and a keyboard. This was accommodating. I was also able to put my phone one of the shelves.

I'm using this desk for a vanity and I LOVE IT. the desk is very aesthetically pleasing, great quality and size for the price as well.

Bought this to have a desk for college. Took me about two hours to put together because some of the holes weren't properly done. A trick my dad told me is to rub bar soap over nails when you're trying to screw them in and they'll go in much easier.

I bought this desk to go in my 8 year old son's room, and I couldn't be happier with it. For the price, the quality simply cannot be beat, and you have two different options when it comes to what side of the desk the shelves are on. Normally at this price point, what you see is what you get, so I appreciated being able to customize it this little bit. The finish of the product was nice with no existing damage, and we received all of the parts in the box. The directions show you pretty clearly how to build it in either the A or B form, and I found them pretty easy to follow. I also ordered the AmazonBasics Low-Back Computer Task Office Desk Chair with Swivel Casters in Red which you can see in my pictures. This chair goes great with the desk, and is the perfect size for my son who is in third grade. Overall, I can't recommend this enough for anyone looking for a smaller desk that won't break the bank.

I bought this desk for my bedroom and didn't think I was going to get much from it honestly, but it surprised me! I have a 24" monitor, 2 speakers/monitors and my 15.6" laptop with other random things on it and it has worked out great so far. It's sturdy, solid and was super easy to put together. I also like the fact you can put the shelves on either side!

After extreme frustration when I first started assembly, I ended up being pleased with this project. It would’ve been much better if I had had a helper. It was very well packaged and not one piece was damaged when I received it. That’s pretty amazing. If you’re doing this by yourself you might want to allow at least an hour to get it done. This is a great desk for the price.

I purchased to have a work space for my laptop, external monitor & Mouse. This desk is ideal for just such a Laptop setup in a small space. I Like that the assembly instructions were clear, with just the right balance of text and illustration to be a good assembly guide. A critical aspect of the assembly is making sure the shelves are attached on the correct side, either left or right, that you want. In order to ensure correct placement, you have to be careful to place the three support legs in the correct order to get the shelves on the side you want. The instructions were particularly good at illustrating how to align the three sets of legs in the correct order. The packaging was well done and easy to unpack, although the Styrofoam packing blocks were of low quality and made a shower of Styrofoam particles that required vacuuming after assembly. The packing of the nuts & bolts hardware was very well done with separate plastic bags for each bolt & nut type with a corresponding number that matched where each set was supposed to go in each step of the assembly process. All bolts except those for the selves bolted to tapped nylon nuts which were counter sunk in to their attachment points on the desk. The counter sunk nylon nuts made attaching the screws much easier. The bolts for the shelves, of which there are a total of 8, do not have counter sunk nuts, having only pre-drilled screw holes in the particle board. Screwing directly into particle board almost guarantees that the screws will not hold if they are ever removed, but did thread well when I installed them. Why the manufacturer didn't provide counter sunk nuts for all the bolts is probably a cost savings, but it's a savings that means the desk should not be disassembled once assembled. if you want something that can be broken down when not in use and re-assembled when needed, look elsewhere. All the screw holes lined up perfectly and I had no assembly issues. The instructions indicate that you only need a Philips head screw driver. In fact, a work bench or table is helpful, particularly for installing the shelves and you'll need a small socket driver and a 10mm socket or wrench to tighten up the bolts at the end of the assembly process in addition to the Philips head. The assembled desk is sturdy enough for the use it's designed for, but not for truly heavy objects like a fish aquarium.

I bought this because it was low cost, I like the look, and it’s the dimensions that I need.Pros: low priceCons: laminated particle board is low quality, looks like the laminate is bubbly along the edges. Wood screws rely on plastic inserts to screw in securely. The inserts fall out easily, and there are no extras included. Desk is flimsy.

This is a 'very okay desk'- great quality especially for the price.At first, I could not make up my mind because of the mixed reviews but decided to try it and sending it back was going to be the worst case scenario.All the parts arrived in good condition, no scratches, I was able to lift it myself and assemble it myself in about half an hour. I found the instructions very simple and I liked that it could be set up with the shelves to the left or right.It's sturdy and works well for a small space. It looks good and is really affordable, my chair costs much more!One annoyance I had: The measurements are not on Amazon, when I called customer service they could not even tell me the dimensions, so here are the measurements: width: 35 1/2 (inches); length: 19 1/2 ; height: 29 3/4; leg space: 22 1/2. Shelves: width 9 1/2 (inches); length: 18 1/2; Height between shelves: 13.There you have it.Cheers.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this desk. I would have paid a much higher price for it. I also really enjoyed assembling it with my young son. That was the perfect first project of this kind for him. "Basic" isn't a complaint or a knock! I needed a simple desk that was easy to assemble for a small space so I could work from home. This desk meets all these criteria. It's not going to win desk of the year or something but it's exactly what I need right now. If you're on a budget and just need an appropriate surface to study or work and aren't super handy, this would be a good option to look at. Assembled it myself in less than an hour.

I picked up this desk for my kids to do online school assignments. It went together well, and was stable and firm when constructed. (I wouldn’t try standing on it, but it holds a computer just fine). Construction was easy, and the instructions were clear.My only issue was that the shelving on the side isn’t sized for a standard computer. The CPU I have is 14” tall, and the two sleeves were about 12” each. I had to measure and drill new holes to make it fit - not a deal breaker, just a nuisance.Great value, looks good in a bare minimalist way, and works perfectly. Recommended.

Está muy bonito, llegó en excelentes condiciones, sencillo de armar por una persona, es un POCO inestable si lo que buscas es escribir o hacer trabajos escolares. Para trabajar solo la computadora está OK pero un poco caro para lo que es.
