EXCELLENT UNITS FOR THE PRICE
I've done sound reinforcement for decades, having attended numerous seminars and training session with the Peavey Electronics Corporation - one of the largest makers & suppliers of musical instruments, amplifiers & professional audio systems worldwide. I've managed 20-Channel Stereo systems from Peavey in a wide range of professional public applications. While those days are now behind me, our Church was suffering from deficiencies of wired microphone use, especially with speakers moving about on the stage and pulpit. I made the decision to go wireless and purchased four of the Pro UHF 4 systems. I can state with certainty these wireless mic systems solved any problem we had with movement, sound quality and ability for the entire congregation - front to back, to hear our speakers better than ever before (I use a 20-channel stereo mixer/amplifier). The systems themselves are simple, easy, and quick to set up. I especially like the feature that permits me to monitor battery voltage of the transmitters as well. Be aware the Pro Audio 8 (Orange) units do not provide this same battery monitoring feature or ability to change frequencies.

Youth Theatre Use
When I ordered these, I was hoping for a decent “backup” or extra mics for our theatre performances. Because of the cost, I expected to have to return them or not be super pleased with the quality. I was SO IMPRESSED! These are a wonderful value for the money and are equally as useful as our “good mics” at the theatre. The only drawback is the size of the mic - it must be used as a clip on, you won’t be able to tape to the face or place in the hairline. The sound quality makes up for that, and we are going to make some costume adjustments to be able to use these for our leads in the next show.

Great Mics for the Cost; Not Recommended for Vocals
These mics were purchased as our church youth was performing a Christmas play and hearing them was very difficult year-to-year. I am very hesitant about purchasing cheap mics, especially wireless as we have a lot of competing wireless frequencies (with cell phones, other wireless mics, etc.), but I had no issue except if a person wearing the mic also had a cell phone with them. These mics worked great! Things to know: 1. These mics do not have a means of changing the frequency. I purchased 4 units (16 mics) and was very fortunate that I did not have any on the same frequency. Maybe someone in shipping knew to look? The mic frequencies are listing on the outside of the box, so you can see if there will be an issue before opening. 2. These are not professional mics, so I wouldn't recommend them for vocals. We used them for talking only, so they worked great. 3. I did set the receivers up on the stage near the mics because I was worried about range and interference, but while performing the initial setup, I was EQing the mics at a range of ~100 ft away and was not having any issues, so the range is better than expected. 4. My only negative is that strong voices will cause the mics to clip at the receivers. While the receivers do have a volume adjustment knob, it didn't seem to help. Repositioning the mic was the only option. If you are looking for something to use like we were, I would certainly recommend trying them. They worked better than I expected for the cost.

Works out of the box
This was purchased to simply try out the use of a wireless headset for our pianist at church. Although I think the headset is a bit flimsy, our pianist felt it was okay to use as is. Would be nice if there were options for different headsets but hey, it works. We also tried out the lapel mics while we had them and discovered that our old lapel mic was not working near as well as we had thought. The lapel mics worked better than another name brand we have in use so we turned the old unit off. Only used it once but it performed very well. We also used this system to by-pass our installed snake cable and floor connectors going to the main mixer. We now have an investigation going into the possibility of a bad cable/floor cable and connector.

Not for Pro application
For a school play, I didn’t want to use our church’s $16K wireless system. Instead, I got this. Surprisingly it lasted 8 uses in children’s hands and it didn’t die. This is not for professional use. The channels are fixed RF frequencies and cannot be changed. The microphone itself makes too much movement noise. It cannot produce low frequencies well. I gave a five just because of the price to quality ratio.

You get what you pay for
Like the headline says, you get what you pay for! This can work as a wireless mic and it does. If there is obstruction between the mic and the receiver, expect thing not to be perfect. Expect the following - noise - there is a lot of noise even when the gain is set to close to 0. There is a lot of crackling noise on these mics. If you are planning to use this for recording video, make sure you have 20 hours allocated for clearing the noise and you won't be able to cleanly remove them. - clipping - these are supposed to be lapel mics but it doesn't account for the fact that the mic is close to the mouth of the speaker. - The LCD display is static and nothing can be changed in there. It is for information purpose only - it is heavily susceptible to interference. Don't have your phone close to it - the further the receiver is the worse is the noise I chose this mainly because I needed 3 mics and this was a single setup. In hindsight I should have gone with a better product. Many mentioned the noise, but I thought it can be fixed in post. This is not hum noise, so be aware.

Nice, better than expected.
For the price, these microphones do a terrific job. I had not worked with wireless microphones for over a decade. Recently had to do some outside performances, and gave these a go. I was very impressed with how I, and my fellow actors sounded. Much fuller than the old tech provided. Combined with the great price, I would recommend these unreservedly.

Horrible Sound Quality and Random static pops rendering recordings useless
1.1/4 in main output has an extremely weak signal and will serve you no purpose. for what I needed to use this unit for, it was just a waste of money and time and I will wind up renting decent lapels for my upcoming gig. this unit WILL ONLY be good for live events. 2. if your intentions are to do interviews or something that requires you to capture audio then forget about it. You may be saying something like "I'll just clean the audio and remove it with RX software in post-production" NOPE! SORRY, TRY AGAIN. because out of nowhere, this unit shoots horrible static at random times thus making your recording that you could have fixed in post ABSOLUTELY USELESS. My advice is to save for an AKG, Sennheiser, or Shure system and to just use overhead mics until you have the money for a true professional-grade system. 3. headsets sound better than the lapels (as they should. they are right up against your head) but again, I needed the unit for an interview and that interview requires capturing video footage. so in summary: Good unit if you work at sea world and you want to tell us about the dolphins BUT A HORRIBLE unit if you need it to capture audio.
