Well made . . . but less than useful in the USA
NOTE: After I wrote this review, an accurate reflection on my experience and opinion, I received this in an email from [email protected]: "We have refunded to you,The review is very important to us especially to my job.can you please change your review, give us an 5 star review or delete your review, thank you.waiting for you replyHave a nice day:)ORIGINAL REVIEW FOLLOWS==================================================This HUD is an interesting device that caught my attention. I love clever gadgets but wasn’t that interested in in this item. Then Seller sent an email offering to reimburse my purchase cost in return for a product review. The display unit, cable and display seem well manufactured. There is an issue with the end of the cable that connects to the car’s diagnostic connector. It went on nicely but was very tight to get off. Same issue on three different vehicles. And several times when pulling it off the snap on cover split open and came off exposing wires on the back of the connector. It I was going to continue to use this gadget I would put a couple spots of glue on the cover before I put it back together. There is a shortcoming with this product that makes it useless to me. The unit focuses on Metric measurements but also displays the US “Imperial” measurements of MILES and GALLONS. However, fuel consumption is ONLY displayed in Liters per Hour or Liters per Kilometer. It could, but does not, display Miles per Gallon, the common US measure. And real time gas economy is about the only info this could offer that would be of value since the car it would go in is the only one that doesn't already display MPG and the distance remaining on the fuel supply.Manuals for technical products need to be clear and concise. The manual with this has a good deal of information and a number of good illustrations with call-outs, but the "English" is confusing and frustrating. I had to “read” the manual several times then experiment to figure out what I needed to do. Because of all the options on this HUD this was a time-consuming and frustrating experience. The manual states that car instrument clusters are set to display a reading higher than actual values. If you want match the values on the HUD to match the instrument cluster you use an adjustment control to go to each of several display modes then modify the display reading until it matches the value shown on your instrument cluster. This is a very time consuming task with all the issues you are likely to encounter.

Not ready for prime time
This thing is full of problems that should have been resolved before the item shipped out. Installation was easy but programming the unit wasn't. One switch and one dial handle multiple functions. That never works out well but is very common on Chinese electronics. It made the setup programming much more difficult. It also makes it impossible to make a quick change without having to unattach the unit from the dash and fumble with it for five minutes. The speed indicator can be programmed to show Miles Per Hour rather than Kilometers Per Hour, but the conversion to the American system of measurement is only available for speed and temperature readings. The reading for how much gasoline is being used remains in liters rather than gallons. The written programming instructions are inadequate. I was able to figure out how to program it because of the kind souls that posted youtube videos showing us how.The viewing screen that mounts on the windshield to get rid of the double image is very noticeable from outside the car. It appears as a silver square that looks like it's blocking the line of sight for the driver. When I shut the engine off, the HUD turns off after a few seconds. However, when I later start the car again, the HUD unit does not turn on. Instructions say it will turn on after 30 to 60 seconds but I've found that even five minutes later the unit remains dark. I'm required to reach over the dash and use a flip switch every time I start the engine. It's not unusual for the unit to 'lock up' with the mph and other readings frozen. The refresh rate for the mph reading is about once every three seconds which is much too slow.

Upgrade how you drive! You'll never go back.
It's a bit tricky to figure out how to get rid of some of the alarms, but I got it after some trial and error. I use it every day without the screen on the windshield anymore and I'm perfectly satisfied. With the screen, it's even clearer but it's still 100% legible without it. Oh, I've been driving with it for over a year now by the way! Put it through cold winter and blazing hot summer days.I will say, in regards to the few reviews here that mention it "Failing..." I have indeed have mine flicker on/off maybe 4 or 5 times in the past year. Each one of those times have been when I floored the gas or gone 70+ mph. It's like the computer gets surprised by the sudden speed change and resets. Again, this has only happened to me a couple of times and has not been an issue that's worth complaining about.Received many, many questions and compliments on it. Lots of people started buying these after seeing it on my car, especially since it's affordable! I almost never look down at my gauges anymore because the MPH up on the windows is a life changer! Going back to driving other cars, I was shocked how primitive it felt to look down and read off the gauge. This is really a huge convenience! My only suggestion is watch out when using it at night. It can be bright enough that some blue will shine on your window- this can hinder some visibility long distance. I hit a deer that jumped out from this side of the car and I'm not sure if things would have been different if it was turned off. I always turn it off at night now when I'm driving where I know deer live. It auto dims at night by the way.
