This is a very good item for my corn holder for the squirrels
This is a very good item for my corn holder for the squirrels. So far they like it as well as some birds will land on it and feed also. Seems to hold up well so far. Remains to be seen come August in our hot weather here in south Texas. Am pleased with this item and would recommend it as the price was right.

Perfect Platform!
Not having luck finding this type of feeder at any store near me, I was glad I checked online for one. This is my 2nd feeder (I left my other one on the balcony of the apartment I used to live in). Squirrel's have no trouble feeding from this (nor do the blue jays..lol). There are two holes in the backboard (and two Phillips-head screws) to attach this to any type of upright support. I opted to use two 2-inch nails instead, as that seems to give this feeder a bit more sturdiness when attaching it to a tree (the screws don't go into the tree quite enough to get a firm hold). The construction is solid, and looks very natural out in the backyard. So far I've not seen a squirrel perch & feed on this, as they are still a bit jittery and getting a feel for the feeder, and this stranger who seems to always be watching them...haha...so they tend to just eat & run. =)

Fuzzy critters...fun watching
I've never been a fan of the bird feeders that keep the squirrels out. The squirrels enjoying their food is equally important to me. And usually way funnier. This makes things simple, nothing fancy to buy...just put a corn cob on it.And you have instant friends...and families of squirrels.I felt this especially important this summer with a drought where i lived and animals suffering; I actually put several in the woods behind my house as well as in my own animal habitat.I think this would be a great gift for an elderly person...they do seem to stop and enjoy the simple things far more than many.

Looks great and makes for wildlife watching fun!
This was super easy to attach to our large oak in the backyard. It looks nice, holds corncobs steady, and the little platform is great for loose dried kernels. We'll have five or six squirrels running in circles while waiting for their turn at this feeder.

we're very pleased with this
Have had this up for about two months. Took a few days for the squirrels to find it, but now they use it daily. For the most part this is keeping the squirrels away from the bird feeders. The family of squirrels is going through an ear of corn a day so will probably order another 1-2 of these. So far, we're very pleased with this.

The squirrel friends love this
I use this with the C&S sweet corn Squirrel log and they love it. They love sitting or standing on it while they eat. I think it makes them feel safer being off the ground. I love my squirrel friends.

Great feeder
Squirrel feeder is great! I put a pile of unsalted peanuts (in the shell) on the feeder or even bird seed and I'll get like 5 squirrels at a time. Plus blue jays will grab peanuts from the squirrel feeder. It's great

It's OK
This product is made from low grade (lots of knots) red cedar, but it's still fully functional. I liked the "beefy" corn cob mounting screw, which should last a long time. I didn't like that it came as unfinished bare wood. I put a clear coat wood preservative on it so it would last though the Wisconsin winters. Additionally I added 4 screws so the product wouldn't pull apart over time. Originally it was only nailed together.

Perfect
I actually just wanted something to put nuts on for the squirrels but this works great! I took the screw out of the base (worried without a hunk of corn on it a little squirrel could hurt itself even with the cap on) and used that screw to drill it into the tree! Perfect! Took a couple days for squirrels to find but now I am putting a handful out there daily for the happy little cuties!

Great smaller squirrel feeder
Bought this squirrel feeder because the other one, with the glass jar with all the nuts in it, was causing them to go crazy and dig holes everywhere to conceal the nuts. I got rid of that feeder for this one. Very well built, smaller and I use the screw on corn based food. Made of cedar so it should last a long time.

Les écureils ont enlevé l'épi de la visse en un rien de temps... Très décevant.
