Quality!!
Quality made item through and through. No grease???Waaat?? Powerful and smooth. The 16" is not an exact fit for a sundancer 420DA.p robably just get the 14"..will be "replace plug and play". I had to modify the bracket to get the Hatch to close completely but it lifts the Hatch smoothly and efficiently far better than the OEM with no grease to maintain. The most important thing with this is to measure the compressed length of your old unit not the extended length. I made that error. I would have returned this in order to 14 but I had already cut off the connector to place it into my electrical. 6 months later I'm still smiling every time I open the hatch

Very well made and IP65 rated.
I am using it to adjust my solar panel tree angle to follow the sun's elevation through out the day with my solar tracking system. Ordered two more with mounting brackets. It operates fine on a little 12v 7 or 9 amp battery. Previously bought cheaper ones but they only lasted a few months. The old cheaper units came apart due to high winds. Don't go for the cheaper ones when you should have industrial strength units like this one.

Absolutely Amazing
Replaced the Warner Electric Actuator on my SeaRay Sundancer 340 over the weekend. Warner wants over $1,100 for their unit and bought the Progressive for a third of the cost. New Progressive was super easy to install and has amazing power for lifting and lowering my engine hatch and wroks directly with my current rocker switch. So glad I found this unit. For any SeaRay (boat) owners, my old Warner Electric Actuator was part #1100221.

Junk, a cheap 225 lbs. actuator out preformed this 2,000 lbs. actuator
I had bought this (12V High Force (2000 lbs. / 30 in.) Linear Actuator) a while ago, just took it out of the box and used it an hour ago. I have an el cheapo aluminum shaft actuator rated for 225 pounds I paid 120. for that pushed more weight than this 2,000 LBS. that cost 500., total rip off. I highly suggest you NOT buy any actuators from these people.

Powerful, but Amazon return was difficult
Works great, very strong. I ordered the wrong size so to return it and order another. The new one works great, does the job nicely, however dealing with Amazon support regarding the return was a very bad experience. I returned it the day after it arrived, and here I am almost 4 weeks later still waiting for my $322. I’ve had to deal with no less than 7 customer service reps at Amazon , some lying to me saying my refund is just 3-4 days away, and now being told I have to wait another 2 weeks. I have a friend that ordered an expensive ( cost more than my item ) table and chair set that they wanted to return because it wasn’t exactly what they thought it would be. Amazon told them to not return it, just keep it as a good will gesture, and they would send a similar replacement …. No cost! The Amazon return policies seem to be like leaves in the wind, blowing in all different directions, just depends on how lucky you are in the return process . VERY FRUSTRATED !

Well made, solid, drop-in replacement
I don't write reviews but after spending hours trying to find a replacement for a busted motor on an old Sea Ray hatch lift motor, I got lucky that someone recommended this brand. It's a bit of a difference between the stock size and the replacement but as long as you measure carefully, you'll be ok. Super solid, well built, 1/3 of the cost of an OEM replacement. Don't hesitate.

Very solid build. Excellent drawings and documentation. Used for pickup truck handicap lift.
Installed on a lift that looks like a running board. The running board goes to the ground and up using a remote fob. A 300 pound person creates about 1000 pounds load on the linear actuator. My setup has a 1:3 ratio. I added 100 pounds to 900 to get to 1000 pounds. The 2000 pound actuator does the job with ease. I used the 8" stroke and added limit switches. This actuator replaces the obsolete HydraMotion cylinder S/N 11245. Motor marked PE270980 12VDC. Lift designed by Startrack(s) Lifts in Indiana in 2018.

Longer than advertised
Larger than what It claims to be 2½ inches longer than advertised also really really slow movement! Other than that I can make it work with some major modifications
