Very good buy
Fits fine, comfortable, attractive-looking and well-made. Just what I was hoping for.

Better than a slip; run a little small
These will offer more coverage than a slip should the wind blow your dress or skirt up so that's why I bought them. I'll wear these under a summer dress for an outdoor special occasion. They run somewhat small compared to the size chart unless you have a slender waist. I usually wear a L (14) in pants/jeans and ordered the XL in these. The waist would be tight but the elastic stretches enough; hips are fine in a size up. The inseam on the XL is 9 inches but can be shortened to about 5". I need to trim them to the middle length; I hope the fabric won't slip too much as I cut them. The legs are full which I like for wearing instead of a slip, more like culottes than shorts. The seams are like pants seams, no panty panel. The lace trim is a different design from what is shown on the product page but that doesn't matter to me. The fabric is nylon like the usual slip fabric. Cute and what I needed.Edit to add after snipping:I trimmed these at the middle row of lace. This was a little tedious so do it ahead of time. I tried to leave the same width of fabric under the lace as was on the lower row of lace, but I kept veering too close to the stitching. I'm right handed, and I trimmed the first leg with the main part of the pettipants to my right and the lower edge (the part I was removing) to the left. I trimmed the second leg in the other direction, with the lower edge to my right and the main part to my left, and this seemed to be easier. The inseam is now about 7-1/4" with two rows of lace left.

Better than a regular slip!
Unlike a regular slip, this one doesn't seem to ride up. It's flowy and comfortable, giving the same modesty and anti-cling as a slip but with the anti-chaffing properties of shorts. The size Amazon recommended for me (XXL) was a little large. XL probably would have been ok for me (5'3", size 16, 185#). I kept the larger one though because it was so comfortable. I loved that it has tiers separated by lace, allowing it to be trimmed to the right length for my hight and lenght of my dresses.

A nice culotte slip, with length change options.
Nice item. I like that i can cut bottom.to. different lengths to suit the length of my shorter dresses. Only draw back is that it is s little tight around the waist. It either is an item that runs smaller than expected or I gained weight since i ordered it. That may well be the case. Overall, a very nice slip. I wanted it so when I have to wear a dress on a long summer day , my legs won't rub together. It is successful at what I needed it for.

Just buy it!
Nope, it ain’t sexy, but it works (people aren’t supposed to see under your skirt anyway, that’s the point!)Fit as expected, I am an 8 in most trousers and dresses, and medium fit just right. Loose enough to be cool and act as a slip and hang without bunching, but still wears smooth under slimmer pencil skirts. Keeps your skirt from being see-thru, from clinging/riding up, and most importantly, protects from summer sweat thighs.Easily cut shorter, but I left mine full length. Don't bother buying shorty cotton versions, those don't work unless you already have major thigh gap, then why bother at all?Underwear should be functional, and this works well.

Just what I needed
I know it says snip-a-length, but I like the tiered lace look, so I left them as is. Great fit, lightweight, perfect for summer

Waist elastic too tight
The pettipants have some good features: plenty of breathing room in the hip and leg area, and very lightweight fabric that seems like it would be comfortable in the heat and wouldn't stick to your skin or your clothes. Unfortunately, the one I got was all gathered at the waist into a piece of elastic that was too small. The tightness of the elastic, combined with slightly scratchy threads (the fabric is not folded over the elastic), combined with a lumpy seam joining the elastic at the back of the waist, adds up to annoying discomfort at the waistline. I considered returning the size medium for a large, but then there would be too much fabric and it would bunch up under my dresses. It might work fine if your waist is a lot smaller than your hips (like more than 10 inches smaller).
