Great all around hard rock pickup
This is a great hard rock pickup. Works well with my Les Paul into a Marshall amp. With gain the pickup sounds great, has a great hard rock full sound. Dial the volume back about half way and you can get nice classic rock tone without having to touch your amp or use pedals. Bass is full and tight. High end is clear and doesn’t get fuzzy or undefined with gain.On my LP the cool tap is useful but doesn’t sound quite as good as the stock pickup when tapped (Gibson 498).The pickup looks great on double black too.Easy to wire, and came with mounting ring screws and springs. The pickup has a great all around versatile tone that does hard rock and classic rock. I didn’t think it would be as versatile as it is.Mismatched coils and Alnico 5 magnet makes a super tone that surprised me.This pickup has more beef and low mid range than a PAF pickup. It is less harsh and cleans up much better than a high output pickup. Pretty much the best of both worlds.

Another great pickup from Seymour Duncan.
This pickup can do anything. Don't let the lower medium output fool you. This pickup stays tight and mean even with a fullbore metal pedal pushing the amp. Always keeps clarity but doesn't sound underpowered. It kind of surprised me being a lower mid output pickup because it sounds great playing metal.

Tritones... you’ll like’em!
I have this pickup in a couple of other guitars and always thought it sounds great. I usually get stuff like this from Musicians Friend but they wear out of stock so I went with Amazon. Put it in a LesPaul Special and HolySh_t!!! Nice clean sounds, has like a single coil quality to it. Punchy distorted tones... rips like a P-90 but is all humbucker.

Outstanding in middle position, a bit weak neck only for my tastes
Difficult to review this, because it's a 5 star company and product line. The pickups quality are amazing. So for the review, I'm mostly writing it on my perception of the sound of the pickup. For that it's subjective. For me the pickup sounds much more "harsh" and tinny than I've heard on the SD site and youtube videos. So again, the guitar woods/etc probably contribute to that, but relistening to the clips I do notice they appear brighter than I had first thought. What I can say is I matched this with a 59 neck and the middle position sounded *outstanding*. Really just beyond stellar, but for me, the bridge only position (both coil split and full humbucker) was just too harsh for me, so I returned this pickup.

Want a slightly harder edge to your bridge?
Great bridge pup. Good cleans, great with light gain or heavy gain. All around bridge workhorse across genres.Splits well, not perfect but enough for difference in tone.Handles phase swaps and series/parallel wiring really well.very happy

Fizzy, Fuzzy and A Bad Day
This pup came as part of a US ESP Eclipse Floyd Rose I ordered in 2020. Let's just tell it like it is ... this pup sucks. It's brittle and harsh. When I rolled off the tone to make it more manageable, it became muddy. At tube amp volume it really showed it's true colors ... it just doesn't live up to the Seymour Duncan brand ... it was Fizzy and lacked definition.I wouldn't put this in an enemy's Ukulele.

best of the best
Excellent humbucker pickup! However I did not buy it for its clean sound, it is surprisingly nice as a single coil with coil-tapping! It has one of the best sustaining tones I've ever heard. Strings are distinguishable and won't get blurried even with two distortion/overdrive effect applied on full gain!! Remarkable! I can't put my guitar down now. Highly recommended.

Three Stars
Good but not what I hoped for in a pup that combines 2 pickups that I really love.
