Great all rounder for gaming and graphics applications well priced and stable.

Pretty decent motherboard. Ive always been an ASUS user and as such feel like the PCB laquer layer and construciton felt a bit cheap. (Although this is probably to give a cool modern gaming finish rather) PCB connstruction aside, its has some cool LED features and is a pretty nice motherboard all in all. There are plenty of firmware updates which is good as ASUS used to be a bit poor for this. If you dont want to spend all of your money on an ASUS board and which will have PCIE 4 everywhere and an extra two sata lanes this is a lot of motherboard for the money. The BIOS is good, and not too clunkly. It boots very quickly now everything is upto date. Manuals, cables and additonal M.2 Heatsync are all good things to get in the box. Good for people who want to throw a machine together but has all the functionality to go mad with custom settings. This motherboard did clock my memory down to 2400MHZ as default and appears to have a weird performance option which i am not sure about. The memory i used was the Hynix 3600Mhz memory which is a Micron E die unit. Better support for this would be great but the corsair vengence 3600Mhz is registered instantly so it just depends if MSI have tested this ram yet. Hopefully greater memory support will be added to included support faster speeds and a wider seleciton as this is an area other manufacturers have an edge. Also, the motherboard realy doesnt like it when you use the wrong memory slots!

I purchased this board for my most recent PC build: Ryzen 3600, 32Gb CL16 Ram @3600mhz, 1tb NVME Drive, Radeon 5600XT. This motherboard looks and feels like a high end board, with a sleek visually appealing design, practical layout and all of the features I want in a board at this price point. I had no quirks or issues after carefully assembling my build and it POSTed without fault on the first attempt. Flashed the BIOS, set my RAM XMP and enabled PBO, then it was off to the races. After seeing some warnings from a couple YouTube reviewers about poor VRM thermals on the lower end of the X570 lineup from MSI I am happy to report that after running an hour of small FFTs on Prime95; VRM temperatures never exceeded 53c, and mostly hovered around 51c under load (idle temps around 40c). For reference, I'm using a Thermaltake V250 argb case with stock fan arrangement, which has modest airflow at best (no mesh front panel) and a Hyper 212 Black Edition CPU cooler. I honestly couldn't be much happier with my purchase. I am not a huge fan of the layout of MSI's UEFI BIOS or their Dragon Center utility software but functionally it's actually pretty good.
