Introduction To Information Security And ISO 27001: 2013

Wish I had read the only review on it prior to my purchase. I agree, for $15, I expected more. While the content might be relevant to the online course I'm taking; am willing I'd be able to google the material in this book.

For $14, I expected more. This is an absolutely stripped down, minimal content introduction to the basic concepts of information security. The whole book (its more like a pamphlet) is only 48 3x5 inch pages, including appendices. It might be an appropriate book for someone who finds themselves saying "I have no idea what information security is; where should I even start", but beyond that it's not very useful.

Fundamentally an expensive leaflet passed off as a book. Common sense covers a lot of this for anyone familiar with compliance or project management basics.

I wasn't expecting a massive thousand page tome but I certainly wasn't expecting to be ripped-off.A tenner for fewer than 40 tiny, smaller than A5, pages!Rubbish.

Found this guide easy to digest...works great on kindle appwould certainly recommend this pocket guide to readers interested in ISO

Good read before the course. Relates alot to the ITIL environment I work in. Looking forward to the foundation course.

Excellent short and concise overview of this topic

Habe das Büchlein gekauft um ebenen einen kurzen Einstieg zu finden in Iso27001:2013. Aber ehrlich gesagt, finde ich 12.- für ein 48 Seiten (seeehr kleine Seiten) Büchlein einfach überteuert. Vergleit man dies mit einem normalen wissenschaftlichen Zeitschriftenartikel so wäre dies ein 15-20 S. Beitrag - leider ohne vergleichbare Referenzen.Bei der Größe ist natürlich der Erkenntnisgewinn dementsprechend klein. Eine Einführung bekommt man zwar damit aber naja, mich überzeugt`s nicht. Hätte es zurückgeschickt, wenn nicht Preis für die Rücksendung und Aufwand für das Geld zu groß wären.

Very simple, it is a good summary of the IS concepts. Give a clear overview of ISO 27001.Thanks for the book

This is an excellent book to start with your understanding of the ISO27001 standard. Next book would be a more detailled book on the Standard or the ISO27001 itself.
