I ordered these like three times and I always keep a spare for back up. We have well water and we had to use this with our system in order to keep the debris and dirt out and keep it from clogging in the hose. Definitely recommend if it will work with your system. It’s as described inexpensive and delivery was expedited.

I purchased the filter and replacement elements. The original filter leaked at the seam. Contacted Inline through the website and received an immediate response. They sent a new filter and that one worked fine. The first one was missing an o-ring. I have this connected to a washing machine and it works well and should keep sediment from going through the cold water valve and damaging it.

Ive purchased this twice. The first time the filter leaked at the seam but I got into contact and inline responded immediately. Its been connected, easy to install. Works great at keeping the sediment from going through and damaging.

We have very hard water, and upon purchasing a new steam washer and dryer, I wanted to install an inline filter to protect them from the sediment. I looked at larger more elaborate and expensive alternatives, then chose to go this route. They worked fine for a month, then one of them blew apart, flooding the garage. After looking at the unit, there was no evidence why it blew apart. Since the one that blew apart was the one on the hot water, maybe the plastic can't take the heat, and caused to to fatigue. I don't know, but I can't chance that again, so I removed them and tossed them. I like the design and the simplicity, but to prevent that again, they really need to be metal. Thank goodness my washer and dryer are in the garage, and not indoors. I would have had lots of damage.

We have grey slate shale from our well. This is easier to change than the screen on the clothes washer. The washing machine mfg. can void the warranty without it, I was told by a service man, I do have a whole house filter also which I'm changing monthly. The builder lost the filter I had with the filter reservoir, and turned on supplt to my new house without it, I've had to clean all faucet screens after I put in the filter. I haven't had to replace the filter in this small filter for over a year.

Inside the filter are several fabric filters between the screens that clog easily. These are replacable, so I just replaced them with cotton makeup remover pads. We have this new LG washer that has small filters that clog every few days. Never had washer do this before, so i was desparate (read my review at home depot). This inline filter has upped the cleaning cycle to every few weeks. Only thing is, I would not want to burn $20 every time the filter needed replacing. Too bad they don't sell the fabric inserts separately.

Love this easy to use filter! I have silt issue & it was killing my brand new (and very sensitive) washing machine. I was thinking this was too easy of a fix but this filter has worked unbelievablely well! Good price. Great product - would definitely recommend.

I installed this as directed on literature. Had leak at connection to new hose from washing machine. When trying to lightly tighten a bit more the hose jumped of the unit. This happened 3 times resulting in a mess on the floor. I added Teflon tape to the unit then very lightly tightened new hose connection onto plastic threads. It has not leaked or jumped off for the last 3 days. Good now so far. Teflon tape was NOT mentioned in installation literature. My biggest issue now is I do NOT trust the unit. If I am leaving for a few days I will turn off the water to the washer rather than find my house flooded upon return. I will install another unit in my cabin and see if my results are similar.

Filter plugged up in 1 day. Not recommended, as much too expensive and unserviceable. Better to get a bigger filter that plumbs into the main water line to the house.
