The Hip Hop Dance Experience - Nintendo Wii

I watched a guy named Vonte on TikTok and he made me pull my Wii out. All I needed was controllers, cords and games. This was the 2nd best dance game imo for the Wii. There’s some classics on here even tho some songs I was not a fan of but my son and I enjoyed competing against each other and dancing together. If u like hip hop this is it. He’s 10 so this is before his time lol. If u have a hyper child (he’s adhd) get this game. It also came like new. No scratches and the book was included. I recommend to anyone going retro. I miss the days of multiplayer games and systems without internet and online. Recommended from Ohio 🥹

This Wii title will show you a taste of the hip hop dance experience and help you exercise and have fun. The best part is that it doesn't require any experience, you don't have to even be in shape or remotely coordinated to have fun with this. (Basically I have just described myself for you!) My favorite feature on the "game" is Power Skooling, which is a training mode that you can practice each of the moves in the choreography for the song you want. You can repeat to build your confidence and ability and then put them all together to do the dance in it's entirety either alone to challenge your own top score or with others. HHDE will let you know what your best and worst moves are so that you know what you need to work on with Power Skooling. Like the Just Dance series there is a good variety of music (obviously here within the same genre) and different energy and skill levels required. The preview when you hover over each selection will show you the skill level and play a snippet of the music so if you don't know it you will see the speed and rhythm for the song.Personal tip from a real beginner: if you are challenged by a particular part of the dance, I found it helpful to learn by doing the moves for the top half of the body separate from the bottom and then putting it all together. That trick has me able to do things I would not have thought possible.This title is my absolute favorite "get fit" for the wii and I cannot give it enough praise. If you suspect you might like it then I am sure you really will.

I'm by no means a professional dancer but can keep up with dance games decently well. This game in my opinion is too hard for any novice dancers especially if you're not used to dancing hip-hop style moves. There are definitely songs that are easier (marked by 1 out of 5 flames below the song title) but not as easy as the "easy" marked songs in Just Dance. It's not necessarily a con since this is a hip hop dance game.My biggest problem with this game is that it is much harder to tell if you are doing the move right. I actually kept having to remember if "Cool" was better than "Nice" or not. Also, the dancing avatars are harder to follow. The moves just aren't as clear. I had moments of "OHHHH, is THAT what he's doing w/ his hands?" b/c there are flashing lights every where in the screen. This game was only made a couple of years ago but I seriously thought it was made 10 years ago. I agree w/ another reviewer that sometimes the moves don't seem to fit correctly w/ the beat. For example, during Chris Brown's "Run It" chorus part, I found myself wanting to do the move a bit quicker to fit the beat better. Or maybe just the move seemed too slow or a bit awkward.A pro is the variety of songs. You'll get newer artists like Drake and Nicki but also older folks like New Edition and TLC.This isn't a bad game to have in your collection b/c it is different. I'm ok w/ it b/c I paid half price but I would have been upset if I had paid full price.

I like this game I love this game it shows you step by step piece by piece practice on steps to learning to do the steps was awesome learning to do piece-by-piece steps is even better there's only one thing I don't like about it but that's minor you can't put the dance per piece I'm right handed and right side when they show you a steps when you're about to dance it's on the left side other scream instead of the right side other than that that's it is very good I give it an A plus if you don't know how to dance learning how I step piece-by-piece is the best thing ever I wish we games would make more like this but they don't cuz everybody learn steps you can learn to dance piece by piece breaking it down and then take your time and get that we remote the other piece to it that helps with adding more points that's even better

I absolutely love this game! It is a definite workout from showing you a whole routine you follow with your Wii remote control attached to your wrist you must follow along with,to breaking the moves down individually in another part of the game menu. You can dance battle against someone or just do your own thing. The only thing I did not care for is how you cannot click individually on the one you want to select by hitting the next button. If you barely move your wii remote over the next arrow it starts speeding through your selections of song/dance routines you have to choose from. Also,I wish it slowed down the break down of the dance you are learning on the individual screen instead of just going right into it and hoping you catch on to the move. Beyond those 2 issues,this game is awesome! You will definitely sweat and learn some great moves doing so! I may have to use some of these dance moves the next time I go dancing again!

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She loves it and her and her friends dance the night away!! Competitions going on in my family all the time!! Great music selection too... Wishing it was able to upgrade with the changing music charts but all in, great purchase!!

My children were so excited to play. Looked in excellent used condition but.... DID NOT WORK!!!!! My Wii would not read it. Pissed off momma, let down children.

A lot of great music, but after only playing it once I was expecting more of an intro to basic footwork, but it seems as though you can stand still as long as you can move your hands accordingly.
