We swear every review in our store is real. Our living relies on this account. We'll never risk making fake reviews, or it might be closed by Amazon. Pay attention to the size. These bits are small. The 1mm is like a needle. You guys paid extra too much for those famous brands before. Selling it at $15 is profitable for us.

is the drill bits pure cobalt?

Thanks for your question. Cobalt drill bits are not made of pure cobalt, but rather a steel alloy with 5 to 8 percent cobalt. The 5-percent alloy is known as M35 grade, and the 8-percent alloy is M42. These bits are made of M35 grade cobalt steel, with 5% cobalt added.

I want to drill 9 to 12 holes through large, stainless steel hinges (3mm thick).Could I do the job with these drills?

Quality of hinge is the variable here. I would buy a single cheap coated drill bit first. If you can drill one hole with the cheap bit, then you should be able to drill 9-12 in the same material with this set. As always use cutting oil and make sure your press is set to proper speed.
