FC720 - Ultimate Overall Clearcoat

Great product!!

I have been practicing spraying 2k clear in preparation for a model project I am working on and decided I wanted to try this 2k clear. I am amazed at the extreme hi gloss with zero orange peel I got using this clear. I cured it in a dehydrator at 120 deg F for 4 hrs and it is super durable. This quart setup is reasonably priced and gives you so much more than the small 2k bottles you can get at hobby shops. I mixed at 4 parts clear, 1 part hardener and 1 part Mr Color leveling thinner. This was sprayed over Tamiya gloss black TS-14 and the spoon looks like a gloss black mirror now.

Easy to mix. I'm not sure if it was overmixing or my spray gun, but I ended up with a lot of bubbles. Otherwise, I used this to seal 2 large whiskey barrels to be left outside. They have weathered multiple downpours and sitting out in the sun for a couple months and still look shiney and newly painted. This covered both barrels with 3 coats and the containers are 1/2 full so we are going to use it on some more outdoor wood furniture.

Easy to spray. I used it on a valve cover, so not really representative of the what the product is supposed to be used for. Used the faster version of this and it dried WAY too fast. Wet sanded and polished fine using 3M compound.

Great price point. The clear laid down really nice. I used lplv gun set at 20 psi. Had to spray about 6 inche away from surface, full air flow, full fan and about 3/4 turn from full fluid open to help it atomize better. Dries to touch in 24hrs. Give it it a full 10 days to cure. I was able to sand within 48hrs to fix imperfections

Best economy clear I have shot, worked great on golf cart

Great clear Coat, first time ever applying automotive 2k clear coat and this product worked great. It laid like glass without having to buff.
