I first want to say that this handheld is awesome. On the firmware it shipped with which has already been updated it ran games very well. There were a few problems with emulation with some NES games more specifically with Mario Bros 3. There was some noticeable stuttering and screen tearing. The screen tearing is due to the fact that the screen refresh rate is 30hz and its a lower quality panel than something you might get on other handhelds. With that said its also a glass IPS screen that gets plenty bright and has great colors.My unit also had a buzzing problem with the speaker. Again for the price its not a big deal. For the most part the buzzing can be reduced and almost entirely fixed by changing the screen brightness and audio through using 'select' + 'Y','B' or 'X', and 'A'. Oddly enough adjusting the screen brightness and volume seems to fix it.Other issues that are less concerning but have been mentioned in forums and youtube videos is light bleed, where the screen isn't set right in the case and therefore some of the backlight gets through the crack and can be seen on the screen. My unit has barely any of this and its in a position where it is not noticeable unless you are actively trying your hardest to see it.There are some minor issues but for the price it cannot be beat. The build quality is great. The GB / GBA / NES / SNES emulation is great. Possible improvements that I hope to see in a revision.- 60hz panel- Slightly better processor- better quality controlIf the issue of screen tearing can be fixed this would hands down be the best emulation device.

Do not buy this device, it has a 30 hz screen that none of the youtube reviews mention. That means the games play half as smooth as they should PLUS you get insane amounts of tearing. Stay away

Overall this is a great little emulation device! Screen is nice and bright and the button layout is awesome, especially with the L & R bumpers. I'm really enjoying it and would definitely suggest it to anyone. Now the only downside, due to the 30hz screen it does have some screen tearing while playing certain games (only reason for a 4 star instead of 5) but for the price you cant beat it!*UPDATE 8-6-19*I just updated the firmware on the device and it basically fixes the screen tearing issue. I am now giving this device 5 stars! Great little emulation device for all the retro gaming fans!

So I got one of these recently after absolutely loving the earlier Bit Boy version. I had high expectations, and it has not disappointed! The screen is crisp and has a backlight. It’s small enough to easily fit in your pocket (it’s smaller than most smartphones nowadays). It has expandable memory so that you can add some of your own games. The shoulder buttons are a great addition as well. Fast shipping too, five stars! I would definitely get more of their products!

This device needs a microSD with firmware installed on it for it to function.Literally the first step in the manual that was in the box is:Insert the Micro SD card that comes in the package.No microSD card was included.This thing is a $50 paperweight without the included software.I contacted the seller Etronixmart about this issue.Asking them to send me the required microSD card with firmware.They sent me a sketchy download link. Presumably with the firmware. There was no instruction for installing the firmware on a microSD card. I didnt click the link because it seemed suspicious.Go with a different seller for this product.

So i spent a day with the pocketgo, and while it's a nice looking device, you probably could get more for your money. The IPS screen is fantastic! I haven't seen any of the mentioned light bleed, nor have i seen any screen tearing? The firmware it shipped with already has the fix applied. The buttons have a nice click to them like a SNES controller. Most 2D consoles play almost flawlessly including Gameboy Color, Gameboy Adavance, NES, neogeo, and Sega Mega Drive.However, i have a few qualms with the pocketgo. Firstly the Micro USB cable it shipped with is defective, for me atleast. No biggy, i have a million of them. The Micro SD to USB adapter is also defective. While i have my own means to connect the SD card to my computer, just be ready to find an alternate means of adding your games. Also my unit shipped with a defective unbranded Micro SD card. I am able to boot the device with it installed and play the included games, However I cannot add any games to the card without the windows File Explorer crashing and ejecting the SD card. Because of that, i had to prepare my own SD card and flash the latest CFW which unfortunately is inferior to the Firmware it shipped with. The only issue i have is that SNES is unplayable on CFW 1.3.2, but it ran fine on the stock firmware. SNES games were half the reason i bought this device.So yea, great screen, great buttons, great GBA emulation, but defective accessories and poor SNES emulation makes this device a hit or miss, depending on your needs. Also, I wouldn't risk installing the included SNES buttons, it was a pain in the butt to disassemble and nearly broke it, not worth the trouble.

The PocketGO is an incredible gaming console that lets you play TONS of games from all types of systems, from Game Boy, to the Super Nintendo and even DOS games. It includes a MicroSD card and you can also load games onto it yourself. It really brought me back to my childhood and made me nostalgic for all the games I played then. I love that I can take the PocketGO anywhere because it it perfectly pocket sized (hence the name). I can definitely see myself taking it with me on road trips in the future!The feel of the PocketGO is particularly nice and unlike some other handheld consoles, the horizontal shape makes it so much more comfortable to hold and play for hours. The buttons are responsive and feel good as well. The screen is crystal clear and particularly impressive! I love the backlight because I can play it in bed in the dark too.I would for sure recommend this powerful little console to everyone!
