My husband has an SE with a bad charging station. He regularly does his own repairs to our phones so I thought this purchase would be no problem. The product did come a few days faster than we expected but the install was difficult. This product did not last ONE HOUR after installed in the phone. It was installed properly so don’t fault the installer. If we knew this product wouldn’t work we wouldn’t wasted time purchasing it.

For iphone SE lover like me, I can't get rig of it, unless there's no way to fix, I will not replace it (unless a iphone SE2 is announced!).Now for the fix part, it took less than 10 minutes to replace it. Although, there are some parts inside that take a little bit of practice to put back. Just follow the video from JerryRig, it gives all the careful steps to do and to avoid.The product itself works perfectly as intended.

I installed this piece to find it wouldn’t charge. I had to take it to a shop to have them remove the defective piece and install one that worked.

Touch ID doesn’t work after replacement. Phone charges normally.

No instructions and no tools to assist in the removal of the screen. I had a small pry bar and suction cup from a previous screen replacement I had to use. I also YouTube'd a video of how to replace the port.

Only thing I disliked is that the included precision drivers are not magnetic, I was not able to use the phillips head effectively, but the included torx bit was all I needed to get the phone open to use tools I already own.The part works great!

Just doesn't work very well. After a couple months, the charge port won't connect well.

Replaced original iphone SE charger at home using a YouTube tutorial which was very straight forward to follow although did take nearly 3 hours. You need to make sure you take the rubber microphone part off the old component you remove and add it to your new one. You also need to retain and add the old clip that the touch screen port attaches to (after you disconnect the touch screen cable). You are best off getting yourself a set of mobile phone tools as well. The screwdrivers you get are fine but don’t cover all the tasks you need to complete when carrying out this repair. I would also recommend getting a magnifier on a stand and the job might not take so long. Many of the screws and other parts are tiny and replacing and connecting can be tricky if your eyesight isn’t as razor sharp as it used to be. However it’s worth it as the new port works perfectly and has saved me a lot of money either paying for repairs or getting a new phone. I’d recommend this product but set aside a few hours to fit it.

I bought this to try to repair my iPhone SE, which had troubles charging because of the lightning connector. I didn't have much hope to succeed but given the price, it was worth a shot. I'm glad I did: it took me two hours of patience and concentration but now my iPhone is like new. It now charges well. I also tested everything else (microphone, audio output) and everything seems to be working as well.Note that the two little screwdrivers that come with this product will likely not be enough. I also bought a set of tools for repairing phones, which you can easily find on Amazon.

Saved me having to pay someone to fix my phone but its a very fiddly thing to do yourself but for the age of these phones its a worth a shot trying it yourself

Absolute rubbish why is Amazon selling this crap? Spent around an hour carefully fitting this only to find out there's a problem with the circuit to the home button. Fitted the old unit and no problem with home button. 90 mins wasted plus a trip to the shop to return it.
