Great except for 2 things
Pros: material is nice and stretchy, very comfy; legs are about the right length; cargo pockets on sides are a good size and locationCons:1. The back pockets are bellowed on the sides, which seems really stupid. I didn't notice this at first, and bought a second pair, which I'm going to send back. You can't put anything in the back pockets unless you button the pocket closed or else the pocket hangs way open. I tried putting my wallet in the back pocket and it practically falls out and also makes the back of my pants look very strange. So basically the back pockets are unusable for me. They're also very shallow pockets.2. The waist is too loose. Since the pants stretch, the waist doesn't need to be oversized for comfort. I have to use a belt or they fall down, but the rest of the pants fit about right, just a little loose, which was what I wanted. Not sure why the waist is so large. If it wasn't for the issue with the back pockets I would get a smaller size and see if that worked, but the back pockets are a deal-breaker for me.

Pocket nightmare, pickpocket's dream. Detailed analysis in review
The fabric is very nice. The fit is very comfortable. The pockets are a disaster. The front pockets are slant pockets. The opening comes up at an angle from the side seam. This is fine, but the pocket lining is not the proper shape for a slant pocket, which must be deep. It is, instead, shaped like the lining for a J pocket (western pocket) that one would find on jeans. This makes the pocket too shallow, so items fall out easily.I compared these pockets to two other pants I own that have well-functioning pockets, one with J pockets and one with slant pockets. My wife, a professional seamstress, confirmed my suspicion, The lining on the Amazon Essentials slant-pocket pants matches the lining on my old J pocket cargo pants, and is not the same shape or depth as my old slant-pocket casual pants, that work very well. Result: stuff falls out, and threatens to fall out regularly. The hip pockets are a problem because they have too much volume and are too short. This means that unless you are compulsive about keeping them buttoned, your wallet will flop around in your pocket and can easily fall out. You have no feel for the location of your wallet in your pocket, making these pants a pickpocket's dream. I would under no circumstances wear these in an airport, train station, subway, public bus, etc. I bought these for international travel, but will never take them out of the country. The cargo pockets on the side have good volume and two buttons, but they sag and an opening forms between the buttons for small items to be at risk. This is sadly weak design and execution on pants that had the potential to be excellent. The lack of care for functionality completely undermines the excellent fabric and the very comfortable fit. Too bad I can't safely carry anything in the pockets.

I am not happy with it
The material is great but The pants size 34 runs like 36 it's too big if you don't have built so we'll be feeling down all the way down to you fit if you want to order this Panthers you have to order to size down from what size you wear for it

Very happy!!
I am very happy with these straight cargo pants. I am a slim woman (usually wear size 2) and got the men’s 28x 30 pants. They are a little loose, but I do not want a tight fit. The straight cut is also wide enough at the ankle to go over my boots, which was important for me. (I was tempted to try the slim cut but wasn’t sure they’d go over my boots.) The fabric is soft and has stretch to it— very comfortable. And the price is great! It’s very difficult to find women’s navy cargo pants that fit me with decent sized pockets. Women’s pockets are usually too small! And women’s tactical pants are much more expensive. Highly recommend! After reading a review that things fall out of the pockets, I sewed some Velcro onto the flap of the right cargo pocket for my phone as a precaution, but I haven’t had any problems.

Length was good but that was about it.
I didn't expect these to fit like an expensive pair of pants, but I didn't think they would be this bad. There was very little room in the crotch or thighs. I am afraid to wash them because if they shrink, they will be very uncomfortable. The other deal breaker for me was the small pockets. I hate that you have to have the flap to button over your back pocket just to keep my wallet secure. In my opinion these are a waste of money considering other brands are much better for only a dollar more.

Fit is near perfect, material and construction is very good!
I bought these to use for work as a DHS employee. They look great and wear good for both indoor and outdoor activities. The fit is near perfect and the length and inseam fit great. I especially like the price and overall construction with double stitching wear you need it and buttons for the cargo pockets on the outside of the pocket flap. (this is important when it comes to ironing)Not only would I buy these again, but I am ordering a second pair now. The price is fairly reasonable although I would expect it to be a few dollars cheaper. Amazon's return policy can't be beat so no worries there.

Cargo pockets weirdly shaped, don't keep items secure
Overall they fit well given the limitations for short guys with a wider frame. I would ideally wear a 33x28 (if anyone carried that size), but ordered a 34x29. I generally wear athletic fit for room in the seat & thigh, and these aren't uncomfortable in that area, but once I have items in the pockets, they are definitely snugger in the thigh than in the rest of the leg.One thing that has me wearing my other pants more often than these ones, though, is the cargo pockets. They seem great for stowing anything that will stick out, but are otherwise too open at the top to securely hold my items, and the bellowed shape means that anything narrower than the fill width of the pocket slides around constantly (unless it can clip to the side). These would work well for me if the hip pockets could carry narrow bulky items instead, but as mentioned, that results in stiffness for my thighs. Not really suitable for the amount of moving around, climbing ladders, etc I need to be able to do in them. Overall I like them well enough, but find myself wearing other pants that only have 1 (zippered) side pocket over these, and am looking into patching up my previous cargo pants (which I was hoping to replace with these).

Very comfortable trousers
Good fit, the fabric is soft slightly stretchy which adds to the comfort, they seem to be great quality,I haven't been wearing them very long & have yet to see how they are after washing. I have 3 pairs now as they were such good value. They are a more subdued tiger stripe camo than many I have bought in this pattern & cotton rich (97%) many others were around 70% cotton & 30% polyester.& their sizing is not so straightforward as these which use inches rather than S/M/L etc. I bought them using the Prime 'try before you buy' for the first 2 (different leg lengths (by 1 inch), both were okay) which was very useful & helped me buy with confidence.I was so sure about them that I just paid instantly for the 3rd pair. If they remain available I will buy more in the future from Amazon essentials

Would have preferred Velcro fasteners for the pockets
As opening 2 pocket buttons isn’t practical in the workplace. After reading the reviews I chose a size down from the 34 I am normally and the 33/32L fit me perfectly. I’m 6.3 ft. Quality is good.

Very Good
These are my sons second pair of these. Bought for work. He says they are really comfy. The only problem I see (because I wash them!) is like a lot of cargo pants they look slightly scruffy after a few washes and are a b****r to iron, which I can get away with if I get em out of the dryer immediately! Would definitely buy again tho.

Really good combats
Hadn't been able to find combat trousers in the shops so bought these online. My husband likes them for dog walking as there are so many pockets for putting doggie bags in etc. He has yet to wear them but they are a great fit, lovely material and very good value. Highly recommended.
