Yakima Locking Skewer
The skewer worked well to keep the front fork securely attached to the Yakima Highspeed bike rack. Installation of the lock core (sold separately) was not difficult.I was a little surprised that a sleeve was not included and I had to use the sleeve that came with original skewer that was supplied with the rack.

Perfect fit
Lost the quick release for my bike rack. This was the perfect replacement to get my back on the trail.

Very difficult to use
I have used many racks by Yakima, Thule, and others. I just bought a Tesla and their rack is made by Yakima, so I was advised to add Yakima bike racks. The racks are OK, but the fork attachment was terrible. It was difficult to adjust and awkward to get the fork in. I replaced it with a Thule, which fits and works far, far more smoothly. I’m still in the 30 day return window, but even if I weren’t, buying another would be money well spent.
