Rich and creamy tone works great with pedals
I love this amp! It’s my new go to I’m coming from an 25 watt acoustic amp, I needed something to play my strat around the house without killing my fiancés ear this is perfect. It also pairs well with my chorus pedal and boss ds-1 for an amazing Nirvana tone ! This thing also works well with my acoustic. Only problem i have is the distortion is kinda mid but any pedal can change that

Great first amp. Or 2nd. Or 3rd. Or 4th. Or......
I usually don't write reviews. Maybe once or twice I have, sometimes out of obligation when Amazon reminds me to do so. But I feel compelled to write a review about this little amp. It's small, yes. And usually, great amps aren't. There are some really crappy big amps too, that are just big for the sake of being huge because some people think that's cool (I am one of them, sorta). But this amp is great, and it's small at the same time...which makes it the greatest, because you can grab it and take it to any room in the house or throw it in the car and take it on a trip or to a friends house....whatever.I have had some good amps and some bad. A bad one was a little solid state Peavey I got at a pawn shop in 95', it was about 15 watts, had no volume, and when driven it sounded like manic squirrels beating each other to death with tin foil. After some other meh amps, I ended up with a JCM 800 Marshall all-tube amp that I thought was pretty good. And it is (it was built in England in 84'), and I still have it, but it eats tubes and the Marshall sound does not excite me any more in my quest for great tone.If you like the Vox clean tone...warm, rich, chimey, buy this amp. It sounds fantastic. It sounds like the big brothers in the Vox line, even though it's small. Has surprisingly deep low end and puts out much more volume than you would think for a SS 10 watter. I currently use mine linked off of a Fender Super Champ X2 head, and the combination of Fender and Vox cleans is outrageously awesome for 2 pretty small amps.Like a Fender, the overdrive isn't going to take you to Metal heaven without pedals...which in my mind defeats the purpose of a small portable amp UNLESS this is your first amp and you want to do everything with it....which I would highly recommend as a first amp, if that's the case for you. But, like a Fender, when driven it gets raw and angry and keeps it's definition. I like that. I play Tele's, and love P90s, and for these guitars the drive on this amp is really good for ME. Tone is subjective. But it. Buy 3....1 for you, 1 for a backup just in case somebody steals yours, and 1 for your best friend (or someone who you would like to make friends with). It's that good. I would easily pay 150 for it anyday.Hope I was helpful. That's the point of a review anyway, right? Have fun.

Small sound
I mean it does amplify, but of course it's not very loud, but honestly what can you expect from a 10 watt amp. If you wanna just practice with a little volume this is the amp for you.

Love it!
Just got this today and wanted to write a review because I loved it so much! I have a Vox AC15 as my main amp and wanted to get that great tone on the go. I mainly bought this because I am a full-time guitar teacher and wanted a new amp for daily lessons. I’ve use everything from a Dan electro honey tone, Pignose and my latest Marshall MG 10 watt. While all of those were good, I never found an amp that quite delivered a great sound as much is something you would play at home, but I figured that’s what you’re going to get for the price range, until now....First off, the looks of this amp is awesome! It’s basically just a miniature version of the 15. The enclose and build quality is excellent and it just looks cool!Secondly, plugging in it sounds amazing on the clean, very nice and fall just like it’s father. Kicking on the overdrive channel, it starts bringing out that grit that I love on the Strat.Since a Strat with custom 69 pick ups is my main guitar, I wanted something that was going to bring that sound out. With the game around 9 o’clock in the basin trouble, around 2 o’clock, I achieved the sound I was looking for with plenty of volume left. I will say though with the overdrive maxed out, it’s a little bit fuzzy sounding, but that’s not really what you want out of a Vox anyways.I also plugged in my PRS Orianthi, which has dual humbuckers, and it sounded full and great with the max distortion! This amplifier will pretty much bring out what you’re putting into it and that’s what a good amplifier should do.I also hooked up an OCD version for just you hear what some extra drive with sound like and it sounds great and quiet. It was better sounding on the OD channel pushing it even harder.Overall I love this amp and it’s going to be in my new mainstay as far as a quick plug and play and in my daily guitar lessons. Absolutely love.

Really like for practice
Has the vox sound particularly on the clean channel. Great chime and sustain that gives a nice feel for a SS amp.Makes me want a louder vox to play with others but this is great for practice with youtube or silently with headphones.
