If you are a sweaty handed ape like me, stop what you're doing right now and buy these strings. Every regular set of nickel strings I'd buy would be tarnished and dull within (no exaggeration) 2-3 days. I thought that was just the nature of guitar strings! Turns out it's just my sweaty hands causing strings to tarnish immediately. Even when I'd try wiping off the strings after playing they would still tarnish and dull so quickly. I've had my "new" guitar for a little over a year now and I came THIS CLOSE to spending $400 on a new set of pickups because I was so disappointed that they sounded so dull and muddy. I noticed that when I replaced the strings, the guitar would sound great for one, maybe two, days and then back to the muddy swamps. Well, I'm SO GLAD I gave these Elixirs a shot. They sound awesome and one week into restringing they're still bright and shiny and playing like new. Can't believe I waited this long. I can't recommend them enough. I've been teaching myself some old 70's hard rock solos that have crazy bends and have not managed to pop any strings yet, so extra bonus there. They seem durable. So happy with these. Buy them!

If you haven't tried these, just grab a set and play. You won't regret it. I love elixir because I can use one set of strings for months without having to replace due to them getting hard to slide. Granted, they cost more, but they also always feel like a new set. Slides easy, but not too slick. Just give them a couple of days to break them in. The first couple of days the tone is a little shiny. After that, the sound is great.

These are my favorite strings. I play regularly and these string last me a year or more. Worth spending more for this coating. Love the sound quality

Elixirs are my absolute favorite strings, they keep a nice bright tone a lot longer than pretty much every other string on the market, I don't play for hours every day but I play maybe 10-15 hours a week and I only change strings like once a year unless I break one, these also stretch a lot less than other strings giving great tuning stability

Works well. I'd more durable than light or medium if you are a fan of metal, but for now this works.

I've been playing guitar for just about 40 years now. I have tried many brands of strings, coated and uncoated, and have heard the stories from other players about how Elixir uses just any string, coats them, and puts them in a box. I can neither confirm or deny these stories, but I can say that no matter what stings I try, I always come back to Elixir. They last 3 times longer than any other strings I have ever played. The coating reduces the string scratch substantially, and there is little resistance when I am playing through faster passages. I just can't beat these strings for tone, quality, and longevity.

Got great sound from these strings, they feel nice to play with. At first it has a slippery/oily texture to it, but after getting used to that it helps out playing fast. these are the first strings I used after the ones that came with the guitar broke. It tunes really nice too, doesn't get out of tune fast. Would purchase again

my hollow body epiphone, casino coupe, comes alive with these strings. very easy to play and very durable. great investment in my playing.

Die Saiten wurden gekauft für einen wiederentdeckten, ca. 30 Jahre alten Fender-Stratocaster. Aufziehen und Stimmen kein Problem; das Tuning wurde schon nach kurzer Spielzeit von den Saiten gut gehalten. Erster Eindruck: Passt, wenn man alles "weich" haben will. Wunderbar "soft" bespielbar und guter Sound, wenn man Anklänge an "Acoustic Guitar" braucht. Wer Heavy-Metal braucht: Dickere Saiten wählen. Langzeiterfahrung naturgemäß nach ein paar Wochen noch nicht möglich.
