Not up to OEM standards
After looking at some of the parts carefully, I decided the old ones were in better shape than the ones in this kit. That applied to the floats, the needle & seat and the spring and check ball for the accelerator pump. I tried to save some money and should have just bought the OEM parts. That is what I would suggest you do as well.

It'll do
Seems fairly well made and complete kit minus the metering rods that aren't included. I'm not sure about the supplied solid brass accelerator pump as the spring is much stiffer than stock so I used another I had. One of the included floats had a spot in the solder joint I thought may not be sealed but I tested and it hasn't leaked yet. Time will tell. If you're just looking for a cheapish gasket and seal kit this one is better than others I've had. If you want the best, get one straight from Edelbrock.

Not too shabby
Worked great in my 1405. The main gasket seemed a bit off but everything fitted up right and no leaks... just the right stuff for the job

Do your research and look closely before you purchase this particular kit!
I never write reviews but felt I needed to this time. I ordered this kit for my Edelbrock 1409 carburetor. Marine version with no vacuum ports of the Edelbrock 1406. I was fully aware what was in the kit via the posted picture and I have no qualms with that. That being said here were the issues I had with this kit.Accelerator pump too long and hole in top of it was too small to fit the existing S clip, spring was also taller (put my old ones back in)Main gasket had to be cut to fit properly on my carburetor. The alignment holes (2 of them) were too small and had to be enlarged about a 1/4 of an inch each..New intake valve seats were bigger then original ones and my existing intake screens would not fit properly in them. (Too loose so I put my old intake seats and screens back in.)So basically I only used the gaskets, the intake needle valves, check ball (put old weight back in, this kit does not include a new weight)I'm not here to knock anybody but beware this is not the complete and accurate fit kit you may think it is for all the models listed in the description. I got to the point that I decided I didn't even want to install the new floats. Carb was gummed up with ethanol residue, gave the body good cleaning, removed and cleaned the jets and reassembled, working fine now. My recommendation to you is if you want a better more complete kit then go buy the Edelbrock 1477 kit and be happy with it. Just pay the extra $20 or so and avoid the headache to get a more complete kit (no accel pump but I think it does have a new plunger rubber included). That's what I will do next time around. Lesson learned. Like I said everything in the picture I got.

Seat and needles wouldn't fit
Arrived quick but I couldn't use the needle and seat because I couldn't get them to screw in and also couldn't use the new floats because of this problem, other than that all is ok

Does not fit....any carb
I have rebuilt a couple dozen Cater/Edelbrock AFB carburetors over the years and when my son's carb needed rebuilt this kit look like a good fit. I was fooled by the $25 price and brass floats with local kits running $50 with half the parts. Not one part was usable. The top gasket would need major modifications to be usable, the accelerator pump piston didn't even touch the cylinder walls, the floats were so big if used there would be no fuel left to run the engine, the float seats would not even thread into the body. The most usable part of this kit is the box it came in. And yes, the seller indicated that this kit fit my carburetor by model number, 1406. As info the only difference in the modern day AFB carburetor, beside part numbers, does it have a manual or electric choke and which metering rods and jets it has, all other parts are exchangeable between model numbers. As the kit look like it should fit, all I can think of is that when they converted from SAE to metric measurements they mess up the measurements for manufacturing
