Can I mount it directly on drywall? Or do I not buy something else along with it?

If studs don't align with the holes on the hangboard, you'll need support behind it. Plywood is probably ok (not particle board, for the same reason drywall doesn't work. It crumbles), but I went for a single solid piece. e.g., I used a 4ft long 12"x1" (actual dimensions are closer to 11" x 0.75" x 4ft). Screw that into studs for support, and then you can screw the hangboard into this piece of wood it wherever the holes are. Simple enough.

Does it come with the necessary bolts and t-nuts to mount it into the blank slate climbing trainer (after you drill the appropriate holes)?

I wouldn't recommend it. The included screws are long enough that they go all the way through the blank slate risking damage to the door frame, which is you are presumable trying to avoid if using a blank slate.

Does the “assorted” option come with the wooden back board?

Don’t know we have ours mounted to a 2x6 at the top of a swing set.
