Like many other people have indicated, it does aim down a little too much so you can only see so far behind you. Also, the instructions that came with it, while decent, didn't quite match what was in the box. According to the instructions, the power line was supposed to be a separate cable with a tag wire that we could connect to the tag wire for the video cable that goes to the head unit. Instead, it was part of the harness and had no tag wire connection. I had to splice the tag wire from the video cable into the red (+) wire. I was able to get the grid lines to display, but the grid line switch was labeled opposite of what I expected. Also, you need to make sure you move the switch ALL THE WAY to the other side to get the grid lines to show up.Still, once installed, it works fine and has good resolution.One other thing, the video connector lands right on the trunk lid swing arm. They should have lengthened the wire from the camera to the connector so that all the connections could be protected within the trunk.

It looks great installed seems to work great as well don’t understand the difference between normal and grid view though

This unit appears to be of better quality than other similar ones that are available at a lower price - the camera resolution and color saturation are definately superior. As others have said, there are no guide lines on the image, but that’s not a big deal for me.The weak part on all of these units is the latch trigger switch, which is not as durable as the Ford OEM latch (ask me how I know lol - This is my second unit in 2 years). To prolong the life of the switch, do not push up on it to open the door - use it as a switch only with a light touch.All in all a very discreet, inexpensive and OEM looking way to add a backup camera to your Ford Focus.

Huge upgrade over the cheaper cameras for picture quality and field of view. I tried the cheaper one and it was nearly useless. Field of view was too small so I couldn’t see much of anything behind me. As well the cheaper one got moisture in the lens in a month of use. I will see how well this one holds up. As other have said the grid lines do not work at all. I took 1 star off for that feature not functioning. Other than that well worth it over the cheaper cameras.

I would have given this product 5 stars but it does not work as advertised. This camera unit does not have the grid lines no matter which position I put the switch to.

Nice camera and it works pretty well at night. The unit fits well in the Focus which creates a nice integrated look.My only complaint and reason for 3 stars instead of 4 is that the camera doesn't have the lines on the screen even with the switch in the correct position.

The camera sends a clear video signal. Lisence plate light also works as expected. Only issue is that the grid lines are not removable, toggling the switch does nothing.

I used this back up camera along with the pioneer head unit for my 2014 ford focus. Its pretty good for the price.
