I WANT TO BE IN ON ACKNOWLEDGING AND NAMING HER TO BE ONE OF THE BEST AMERICAN SOURCES AND RESOURCES FOR "LIFE & LIVING" TEACHING FOR MODERN TIMES. SHE COMES BEHIND SOME OF THE BEST AND MAYA ANGELOU WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST. BUT WE SHOULD ALSO CONSIDER HILLARY CLINTON AND MRS. OBAMA "TO COME". MRS. OBAMA IS NOT "DONE" YET. she's still in the oven. SHE'S STILL PRETTY YOUNG; SHE'S ABOUT JUDGE TOLLER'S AGE BUT TOLLER SEEMS TO HAVE THE "RIGHT STUFF" FOR HER "MARKET" & "WORLD" NICHE. BUT MICHELLE OBAMA HAS A MUCH LARGER SCOPE TO CONQUER AND SHE IS STILL PARENTING HER CHILDREN. SO, SHE IS STILL LEARNING BUT SHE IS ALSO A GREAT ICON IN THE MAKING. WE HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO THE FIRST LADY OF THE WORLD TO FINISH GROWING. WE LOVE ALL OF THEM AND WE PRAY FOR OUR FIRST LADIES LIKE JUDGE LYNN TOLER TO KEEP GROWING AND BECOMING BECAUSE WE NEED THEM. Judge book about marriage great read !!

Judge Toler has a unique view on how to take a fresh look at your relationship. The most effective medicine for any relationship is communication, and I think she makes a good effort at sympathizing with those of us who know that communication sounds simple but often is not. I like her formula suggesting that you make sure you understand your own internal daemons so that you can effectively communicate to your partner why you need the things you need and why you do the things you do. Self-awareness helps keep communication fact-based and less confrontational. It keeps you honest. It allows you to see relationship adjustments in a different light - less as condemnations of your partner and more simple facts of life solution-based problem solving. Judge Toler doesn't offer any specific solutions to specific problems, but she gives examples of how an argument can be fueled by facts that are far deeper than surface level. If you can understand those before the argument begins or in the middle of it, you can adjust your reaction. And you can explain your reaction to your partner so they can get past the surface level argument to the deeper problem. This is basically a book about self-awareness and soul-searching. I loved it. I'll read again and again to remind myself to seek a new perspective before giving up.

I just love her, so any book written by her I know is great and this was. The entire book almost in highlighted and underlined. She is a realist about love and marriage and advocates knowing yourself and what you want vs just jumping into a commitment. 10+ stars and a must for any person thinking about a relationship, let alone marriage.

I love Judge Lynn. I watch Divorce Court all the time. This book is mostly for people considering getting married, but there are parts for people that are already married. She uses really big words sometimes that I honestly have to look up but she has great advice.

I LOVED this book. It should be required reading for all pre & marital counseling. Thanks so much to Judge Lynn for writing it and with such personal style, candor and humor! Shout out to Big E for his contribution as well. This book is rich with insight to help the reader, married or otherwise, become self aware, take personal responsibility and make a plan of action to do their part in having healthy & successful relationships with the people they love. A study guide or companion work book would be very welcomed, I believe, by those really serious about doing the work & making the changes suggested in this book. Looking forward to it then Judge!

As a newlywed, I was happy to read such practical advice with realistic scenarios that couples go through. It was like a master class in marriage from an Auntie that has been a successful wife, mother, and professional.

I am not too far into this book but I absolutely love it! The points she writes about are straight forward and very easy to understand. The only issue I had was when she would bring God into her points. Which there is nothing wrong with that at all! But for me, I disagree with her theories due to the fact that I am agnostic. But I fully respect her beliefs and theories. She is very strong minded and this book has definitely helped my marriage. If you're having problems, I highly recommend this book!

Fantastic book, would recommend to anyone looking to get married or just in a relationship. Very practical. I watch her Divorce court show on youtube and its very entertaining as well as educational. I love Judge Toler. Will be using the practical advice shes given in my future relationships.

Easy to read and she gives really good advice for couples thinking of marriage and for married ones.

I normally watch the show. And when I heard that she have a book I had to buy it and I don't regret
