simple, works.
This expects to go on an electrical box. It has about a 5 degree hysteresis (gap in temperature between when it turns on and when it turns off), which surprised me at first...if you set it for 70F, you don't want it to heat the room to 75F before turning off! But in practice it works out just fine because you typically install it above your baseboard heater, and it heats up (from convection or even direct radiation) much faster than the rest of the room does...so when it reaches 75F, the rest of the room has only warmed a little bit and it maintains a pretty tight control.

Very Happy With Our New Thermostats
Our Electric baseboard heaters were not heating as well this winter, we normally set the thermostat at 68, but this year we had to turn the thermostat to 74 to feel the same heat. We explored getting new electric baseboard heaters because we though they were dying. So We got a friendly y electrician to look at the heaters and the line voltage thermostats. What happened was the thermostat was failing not the heaters. Our electrician tested the heater by taking apart the thermostat and running the heater just using the circuit breaker and measured the room temp with a thermometer. It turns out heaters work fine it was just a thermostat issue.. Our electrician says it’s a very common issue, line voltage thermostat start to become less efficient after 8- 10 years.

used in my chicken coop
wired this up for the heat lamps in the coop, i dont jiggle the bulbs turning them onn and off, they on only when needed, and i dont have to sweat if the chickens are warm. this was super easy to hook up and get in place. you will want it inside the coop, or a covered area, it is not water proof, but neither is the bulbs.

Value Priced Line Voltage Thermostat.
I bought this to control a low amperage wall room vent fan. I installed this in a utility closet to provide warm room air for our heat pump water heater. I am only using one side of the double pole system, in other words the fan is 120 volt. We live in central Texas so I thought a heat pump water heater installed inside our house (just where the old resistance water heater was) made a lot of sense. The cool air discharge of a heat pump water heater is a valuable by product for us at least 7 months a year.I installed a Suncourt TW108 ThruWall Room to Room Fan 8" near the ceiling drawing house air in and discharging just above the water heater. I installed the thermostat in the exhaust air stream from the water heater's heat exchanger. I had a bit of difficulty adjusting the thermostat so that it would come on as the water heater began dumping cool air yet shut off after the water heater's fan shut off and the air warmed back to ambient. I understand that most thermostats operate "on" for several degrees between set point and some operating range. This is so the system does not cycle on-off-on so frequently. It appears this temperature range for my unit was fairly broad, 5° to 6° F or so. This may be uncomfortable for some applications. This may be user adjustable, but, if so, I did not see this in the instruction sheet that came with the unit. One other caveat--this is designed for 240 volt installations. The best I can tell is this only interrupts one side of the circuit. If I am correct, this leaves 120 volt live potential to your appliance. This effectively shuts off the appliance but might surprise an unsuspecting user. This said, this an attractively priced thermostat and appears to be good value.

Excellent device, great value for the price!
Works great with my baseboard Stelpro 1000W heaters. Easy installation, very quiet, elegant design. I attach them to side of the heater so each is individually controlled. Swing of 4F is perfect to keep even temperature without turning on too often. Accurate temperature dialing.

Slowly to the point of not working at all.
No longer reliable. Upon turning the temperature up or down I noticed nothing happened. So in order for it to call for heat after you turn it up you have to tap on it for it to kick in. Same thing with turning it down.

Great value for a well built purpose minded thermostat. No batteries! love it
Needed a good thermostat for my pellet stove that had a wider on/off range so my stove didn't kick back on with a two degree variant, before the fan even kicked off. This little battery free unit swings about 5 degrees. Perfect for my application...

It works,
While it works, it was not marked well for installation, and the instructions didn't help much. The Thermostat feature is not accurate and the is no way to adjust it, The best part of the whole process was that it helped me determine that it was not my radiant ceiling heat that was bad it was the old thermostat. Now if I could adjust the thermostat control so that it was close to the temperature on the dial I would be a lot happier.
