A powerhouse with lots of customizable options.
I have had this for about a week and have done pretty strong testing in various scenarios. Hooked it up to my computer, my iPad, my iPhone, a couple of different PA systems and cabs. I have also tested it with Bias FX2, Neural DSP plug-ins, Studio One DAW and Pro Logic. I have used the expression pedal and the switch programming is very easy to set up. I have to say this box is amazing. It has been top notch with performance in every scenario I have put it through. No more huge pedalboard to lug around anymore. Just the X-tone and my iPad. So much easier and fantastic performance and reliability. At least so far. I can’t wait to test it out live at my next gig in a couple of weeks.

Great Product - Poor Software Customer Service
Amazon replaced the first unit, which was defective, in less than 24 hours. That is stellar customer service. The unit itself is very versatile and quiet. The Bias Software works well (trial edition) but the enclosed free download code does not work. So far, 3 emails have not been responded to from the software company. Luckily many options available for software. XSonic should re-evaluate their partnership with the Bias folks.

WINNER accept for XLR port Noise
First the good:- Stomp format with seemingly all the functionality you will ever need.- Sound is great from TRS LR- Compatible with iOS and all apps- Build quality for stage use fantastic- Built in assignable midi switchingThe Bad:- XLR port make a buzzing / AM Radio noise. With the ground lift switch engaged you can actually hear an AM radio station in your speakers....and with the ground lift switch disengaged there is a ground noise buzz. I was able to place an online xlr noise killer, which did filter out the radio broadcast, but still buzzing etc. I did some research online, and this is an unresolved issue from SonicX.In the end I had to return it because I couldn't see paying for a product that delivers 1/2 functionality. Plus, I really wanted the balanced XLR for FOH applicattions. I really wanted to love this pedal.

Perfect product for my live-rig using Bias FX om my iPad together with this Xtone pro.Great service too, the packade should include a redeem code that was missing but I quickly got one arter sending an email about it.The USB caböe included sid not work either. I Lost the power to the Xtone after a couple of minutes. After changing the USB cable everything works fine!

Absolutely amazing device!
This is an awesome device, and the performance is top shelf. I replaced 4 of my other audio interfaces with this one, and the quality is excellent. It works seamlessly with windows and IOS (in my case) and the MIDI capabilities put this pedal at the top of my favorites.. Very satisfied!

It truly works for Live performance with ToneX Max Software!!!
I use it live for triggering ToxeX Max on my iPhone 12 pro max. It is being hosted inside Loopy Pro!!! Love having all my effects and Amps in Loopy Pro and triggering it all with the Xtone Pro!!!! It truly is amazing! I highly recommend it!I have the best of both works on my guitar pedalboard! Analog drives plus all my virtual drives and Amps from ToneX Max software! What a blessing!

On Mac Laptop I'm happy so far.
The main reason to buy this over a typical interface is the midi footswitching and the 1 ohm guitar input. You'd need a good computer to run at 192Khz and I'm skeptical how much better than would sound.I'm using a 2015 Mac Laptop set to 44.1khz and 128ms latency and it works great. I tried it on a Surface Pro 4 and could NOT get the latency low enough to use. Hopefully more PC users will chime in. My experience is PCs can be great, but need to be tuned for DAW work. External power is not required so it's as portable as your computer or tablet.I've used Bias FX and Overloud TH-U successfully with footswitching. There are 3 data modes and you may need to change the data mode to make a successful midi connection in different software. Read the manual.I'm glad I went with this model with more footswitches. You get 3 banks of 6 switches for 18 total switches. I have one bank set up for looping, another for typical pedal toggles & sound preset scrolling. I'll probably assign DAW functions to the last bank. I also have a M-Audio EX-P midi expression pedal plugged in for wah fx and it is working (Only $25 on Amazon).A Boss Katana amp is probably the cheapest way to get a lot of sounds if you're starting from scratch. Then there are a million amp sims like Line 6 Stomp, Mooer, AXE FX that all sound great have a ton of sounds.XTONE PRO and a computer with something like a HeadRush FRFR-108 speaker is the most versatile & easy to use if you want quick access to tweak a lot of virtual amps & pedals and you are comfortable with computers / software. I still feel like this route is the bleeding edge... but hey, what's more rock'n'roll than being on the bleeding edge?
