Great buy for the money
The bb preamp has been a great asset to go to. In my opinion it does not change the tone of my amp sound enough to frustrate me. I have gone through several overdrive pedals looking for a tonel fit for my sound and this fits the bill when looking for a mild to medium gain structure in playing classic rock tunes for gigs. I use an OCD overdrive to give me the higher gain I want for lead playing as well. Buy it Sully

Cleanest boost out there
I’ve used the usual suspects of boost pedals OCD, SD-1, ts9- od808, etc… Each have pros and cons, some match better with specific amps, but the BB preamp seems to have a more neutral frequency response and seems to work well with any amp I’ve used it with. Great pedal overall.

My new go-to overdrive
I play in a couple of bands and need to cover anything from alternative to classic rock to country. This pedal sits in the mix really well, responds to volume knob dynamics and works for maybe 80 percent of the songs I play, either as as dirty rhythm or lead. It really is a great and addictive sound.

Creamy Distortion at it's Best
great distortion / boost pedal. can be used for near-clean volume boost, or added creamy distortion with hint of compression. used first in live setting and think I'm already addicted. I play pretty clean / edge of edge of break-up. Highly recommended.

Awesome pedal
I use this pedal in front of a soprano hot rod 50 to give some extra gain as needed. Works like a champ.

Great Pedal
The BB Preamp is the perfect pedal for blues and classic rock. I put my amp on the clean channel with this pedal, and the gain knob at about 1200. This gets me the right amount of grit. The treble and bass set at noon so I keep the original tone of my amp. The pedal is amazingly touch sensitive too- play lightly for clean, and distorts when you dig in
