Fit perfectly for my pool

My pool is 10 years old and one of the Hayward t3 cell holder unions started cracking. I was not ready to go thru the process of cutting, replacing etc (i cannot do that myself and hiring a pool company is time and money consuming in my area). This idea of putting the union together from two parts is amazing. They fit nicely together and the fix took me about 5 minutes. I did it after cleaning the salt cell and have never had such and easy time fastening it before. It was about a month ago, just waited with the review to test for any leaking etc, so fas so good. At the next cleaning i will most likely replace the other union as well. and i will order more of these, inexpensive and good to have at hand if needed again.

Fixed my exact issue. The OEM salt cell union nuts break every couple of years for me. Last time I replaced them I had to cut off the old ones and glue new unions back in. That is such a pain. These are a much easier fix. Giving 5 stars but I don't know how they will hold up over time. We shall see over the coming seasons.

I used these when the collars on my salt cell broke until I could get it fixed. They worked great in a pinch. I definitely recommend keeping a set of these just in case.

Works great for what it is. I had to try it multiple times before I got it to ALMOST not leak. The key is adding a decent layer of the magic lube stuff to the contact area where the o ring is. Mine drips, sorta. It’s so small that I can only feel moisture building up after a while. So I call it a win. It’s much better than trying to redo all the plumbing because there’s no room for a repair on my set up.

This seems like it was going to fit on my Pentair heater just fine, but I hit an unexpected snag. I think it's very reasonable that if you are in the position of needing or wanting to replace this union, that you also may have reason to replace the gaskets at the same time due to age or damage. I live somewhere that pools are plentiful, but several different home hardware stores did not have the correct size gasket or o-ring. Unless you specifically only need the nut/collar, I recommend one of the alternative options here on Amazon which include the gaskets as part of the assembly for only a few dollars more. If the gaskets are available somewhere on Amazon by themselves, they aren't easy to find and I imagine more expensive to buy on their own.
